Working with Tef-Gel today. Not sure if you knew about or use this stuff.

IMO the best anti-seize lubricant for any metal-to-metal contact (bolts, nuts, threads, etc...marine directed but great for the trucks too.

B.O.W or West Marine and Amazon have it. $21 for the tube. The jar will last you forever. Just figured I’d share a good product since you were building your boat.

Of course and a chop or light sea will knock that down some more to make the ride comfortable for your passengers. My example requires one of those dead flat calm days that we see but a dozen times each year.

I'd be getting mighty impatient if in your shoes, I'd be on the boat finishing it myself until they threw me out. Then I remember my father's oft repeated words, "good things come to those who wait". Probably got it from a fortune cookie but it always served to temper my excitement. But dang, the dolphin and footballs are runnin'!

Not quite sure what yelling and screaming and rushing them is going to accomplish. I’m extremely patient with this and have been changing things as we go. Which has worked to my benefit. I didn’t buy their cookie cutter hull. I added a lot of changes to their build which isn’t something they normally do, but i wanted it a certain way.

But next boat i build I’ll hire you as the project manager, would probably save me a few gray hairs. Any experience with yellowfin or SeaVee?

No, not advocating yelling or screaming, just mentioning how impatient I would be if in your shoes, like a kid sitting next to his presents at Christmas and cannot open them yet!

No direct experience with those. I knew the 28'-32' Uniflites, 31' Stapleton, 40' Burpee, Makos, Correct Craft Fish Nautique, Island Hopper 30s and some small Twin Vees and the Nekton Pilot among others.

I volunteer to wander around the yellowfin factory with your checkbook next time.

I’m down on the west coast a few times a year, only like an hour and a half from YF. I always want to go tour the factory but never have time.

we will see how it goes once this one is done. I have a feeling I'll put it up for sale in the Winter and upgrade to a 32'+. But we will see...

I wanted it done yesterday, but it is what it is. The longer it takes for them to build it, the more of it I'll have paid off before I take delivery.

Only thing irking me now is I have a brand new set of twin 300 Verados sitting there, and now if I would have waited, I could be running Mercurys new 300HP V8 engines. Not a big deal, but would be nice to have the new new.
