Yeah so my thoughts were (if I don’t buy a truck) next suv to go rover HSE or Escalade platinum like 2011+. Seems like once you hit the Escalade the rover is the next vehicle in the progression. And the new ones are bad ass but damn are they $$$. I use the Denali as a second vehicle though so a rover would get maybe 5k miles a year. Do they last as long? I feel like you can run the gm’s into the ground but they have “less” frills (I say that subjectively speaking).

Honestly that’s a tough question.
My 09 rover vs my 08 hybrid is rover all day but I would probably swap for an Escalade of the same year probably not Denali.

Compared to my 08: Faster, lighter, drives better, full air suspension with access/standard/offroad height, better on gas, supercharged, nicer interior/sound BUT expensive af to fix, and I miss the size of my GM suv.

Awesome pics! I hope to someday travel to a place like that. I'm sure living there is a challenge that I wouldn't want to accept but it'd sure be nice to visit. Thanks for keeping us (me) updated with the weather and the pics. Good luck in the search and returning to GM platform.

Yup I missed the inside space of the gm and plan on lifting eventually and I think the shorter wheelbase looks weird lifted in the new body lol. Not much price difference either and once I found this Denali I couldn’t say no after having the 6.2 ltz.

Nice! Going lifted will look nice! Are the Denali's still AWD?

I've been pondering lifting mine for a while just to go a different direction and switch things up.

Has 2wd as well which is nice.

My plan is to lift eventually but I’ll never daily as tall or wide as the ltz I had last year lol fk so annoying to drive that everyday with a car seat and toddler to put in. While my bank account recovers I’m just going to level it on 33s. Plan is to save over the winter for 4” BDS and 22x10 weld Cheyennes on 33x12.5 ridge graps.

Also my dirty ass car. Been raining all week and don’t really care anymore just excited for the Denali. I get to drive it sept 7 and then will drop it off at the port in Montreal to get on the last ship north before winter.

Took me almost a month to get a tire here. Back on the road now. Embarrassingly filthy but our town is is under a water shortage and currently not allowed to wash vehicles until they fill the reservoir. If it doesn’t get filled enough before winter freeze we will have no tap water in the spring

-36 c before wind chill today, truck was having trouble starting and weird electrical issues but it was the 12v battery taking a dump. Read elsewhere that the hybrids act up with a bad 12v batt.

I put an odyssey extreme battery in and working great now.

Highly recommend for any of you in the cold! 4 year warranty and they claim it will last 4-10 years andperformance updates on the Odyssey Extreme Battery? Also, which model did Extreme battery did you get for your truck? I currently own a 2015 Yukon XL Denali and looking to upgrade my battery.

The battery was originally for my friend's Cummins but he didn't put it in and I needed one badly haha.

Got my window today, it's nice to not look at cardboard on my right side anymore lol.

Can you provide a performance update on your Odyssey extreme battery? Do you still like it? Also, which model extreme battery do/did you have?
