Its just what happens to vehicles with significant miles on them plus additional battery loads, etc. I'm over 150k on mine and in addition to mechanical age, the long term weak points of modifications can show up too.

I know. I'm no stranger to dealing with crap in older vehicles. At least all of the stuff I've been dealing with this year have luckily been somewhat minor (except maybe the AC). For now.

My wife is ready for a newer one, but I think this one still has some good miles ahead of it, so I don't want to get rid of it. Just need to keep on tackling the things as they appear, however frustrating they can be one after another...

Battery was on the charger for 24 hours and showed 12.7V after I unhooked it. My wife is about to hit the road with the Tahoe shortly, so I guess we'll see in a couple of hours if it holds.

Make sure its topped up with distilled water too. Helped the batter in my old truck go an extra year after it died the last time.

Never bought a new vehicle with a warranty and pretty sure I never will. We buy these things when they are 6-7 years old, pay cash and usually spend a hell of a lot less in repairs than in car payments.

In other news... Report from the road was that the battery is holding up good. No issues.

Air Ride or Just factory springs/shocks?

I have the short bump stops installed on my axle but don't see how it could possibly bottom out... I guess we will see. I might tow once a year or something and that could be a problem but I have helper bags I was going to install.

It was when my autoride was bad. I was installing the new compressor and shocks when I seen the marks. But now I have helper bags as well.

Been working like crazy so haven't had much time to do anything. Hopefully going to install a set of 275/65/18 Falken Wildpeak AT3w and the CCM 2.5/1 Kit.

I still have my drop kit sitting around that I need to finally let go and sell which will free up some more funds to the 'Burban.

Anyone have any experience with the Wildpeak AT3w's?

Rotated tires and changed the oil. Found this as well....[emoji19]

This is the second time the boot has been replaced on the passengers side, I don't see anything that could have busted it. Any ideas?

And found that my tires are rubbing on the sway bar? I've never had that happen before, is this normal for being lowered? I'm guessing on the tires rubbing btw so any other ideas would be helpful
