my buddy was over last night. i was explaining the noise i was hearing right before the AC went out. he said, hmm.. then laid under the engine with a flashlight and pulls this out. haha. why didn't i think of that? the A/C drive belt snapped. it's pretty well dry rotted. remember this denali was sitting in AZ in storage for like 3+ years. So i will do both belts.
but, AMEN that it's only a belt and not something a$tronomical

Make sure you check the ac tensioner pulley. I had 2 brand new ac belts burn up on me before I realized it was the tensioner! This isn't the regular tensioner mounted up top, it's lower, near the lower front frame. You can see it better if you're laying on the ground.

X2 on this dirt and other crap can get in there due to its location, it's best to do this tensioner anytime you replace belts imo

so, since i got a set of wheels that are a different style than i was planning. My ideas for the concept have slightly changed as well. The Foose wheels are a little too 'chromey' for me. I want to paint the faces/spokes. but leave the lip, rivets and center chrome.

Still plan on Bermuda Blue on the lower, a glass black line, and a velvet black on the upper. Something like this.

Oh yeah, I meant to say I hope you find a shop that will make the wheels look like you want. I want my chrome 20s powder coated and none of the busy shops anywhere remotely close will even agree to do it. Sucks.....

i hear ya, powder coating is the best as far as strength of the coat. pretty sure imma spray everything myself. gotta get a new compressor though. my 60 gal i used to use is now at my friends house 3 hours away. i got my eye on a new compressor that should be able to handle the CFM i need. painting her probably wont actually happen until like September or so. i enjoy painting and customizing stuff. mechanical and engine stuff isn't exactly my favorite thing to do :)
