Good looking box but that home depot box is killin me, at first I was reading like what about a box for a box and home depot, then . . I scrolled down. . . there is actually a home depot box on your sub box. Had a good laugh out of me not gunna lie. lol

As heavy as that bad boy is idt you will have issues of theft. Plus your truck, as flashy as it is, is already a prime target for someone to jack or break in. You would prolly be better off bolting it to the floor or adding a flanged lock kit to it.

Painted the esky rack caps when I painted the area on the hatch. Cleaned the hoe and mocked up the rack. Hate chrome but I'll admit it looks amazing against this blue. Also got new used tails from @Bigbeardenali1992

Last 2 pics are edited with blacked out tails, clear corners, and black grille.

What's up with the fender flare on the rear? Looks like part is missing.

Iirc he just put on the main part, for winter. He didn't bother putting on the door pieces.

I would but it needs to be able to move around easily at a moments notice.

Yea door is tape on only. Don't wanna deal with pulling that off and on. Bigger pieces are push pinned. It's blends with the darker blue so ot don't look as bad as of it was white or something, then it would bother me lol.
Still plan to colormatch them and put them on for good. This summer

Yea just regular 3157 bulbs. I added another socket to replace the 3156 socket that's the turn light. That way it all lights up as parking lights. The bottom is also brake and the top is still the turn signal. I will be adding led bulbs soon.

Not sure if this mod is possible with leds.

Playing with lights again.
So the oven cleaner trick worked.

Did a set for my cousin too. An aftermarket set and a set of oem where I just taped off and only sprayed the corners
Just spray and let sit 5-10 minutes then rinse off.....no more chrome and gloss black underneath.

Brand new Rockford amp was cutting out intermittently so i got this from a buddy and seems to be doing just fine. Run this for a bit till I get another new amp probably next month. Looking at kicker 1200.1 to match. In the end I want all kicker including door components. Not top shelf but still mid grade and way better than oem.
A big sub like this with an amp was never part of the plan, but I'll bump it for awhile.
Until then I'll enjoy this classic throwback audioban

Finished paint correction over the weekend. Not 100% perfect but much much much better than before. So much better that I was never a huge fan of this color but I now officially love this blue. Yea I said it @Fosscore
Also wet sanded and polished out esky rack caps, those did come out perfect.

Can't get over this pic and the difference between the panels. Edited and saturated it shows the paint imperfections even more. No wonder I never liked the color lol......

Finished Sunday night inbetween birthday parties and house and yard work. This is Monday morning.
Flares and mud flaps off.
Still needed to remove the compound and wax residue left over in the seams, jambs, plastic trim, exc.
I asked my neighbor if I missed a spot and she sad yes, I almost strangled her on the spot. I mean look at her trashed silverado lol.
Anyway I wanted to finish this long process before I started colormatching parts, so that's next on the list.

Yesterday after a rinse off at the car wash and high pressure cleaning of the wheel wells. Got most of the heavy dust and left over residue off.

This is why I don't tape off things when I detail. You'll always still have to clean up left over compound and wax in the end anyway, this ensures a fully finished job.
Only things I only tape off is plastic door moldings (mine are off) , black plastic door handles (mine are painted) , and fender flares (mine are off). Other than that tape is only for paint in my garage lol.
Cleaned the rubber gaskets and a few plastic trim pieces with some denatured alcohol on a microfiber towel and a small paint brush to reach into the cracks. Followed up with a trim restorer .
Didn't really have a before pic of the mirror but you get the idea.
Also polished right over the factory appliques, rear window trim, and both door window lower trims as they are a hard smooth plastic and produce a nice shine.
