I bought my 2006 AWD w/ 118k miles on it for $9k as a "mechanic's special" from a Jaguar Dealership in Annapolis back in January. It needed fog lights, an alignment, rear axel seal and the infamous front diff carrier bearing noise is just starting on it (I'm gonna rebuild the diff myself this spring)

AWD too I take it? If it's really clean and needs nothing it might be worth around that price, seemed kinda high to me at first but KBB puts it at $10,500 here, go for it you'll love it

Yeah its AWD, don't know too much about it other than the online ad, KBB is the same on it here but theres always room for negotiation. Thing that makes me love it is that blue, you don't see many that color and i believe its the same blue as my tahoe. May be a pointless conversation anyway since I'm currently in the process of buying a house so I'm pretty tied up financially, but a man can dream right. Just kinda throwin ideas around in my head incase the near future doesn't involve the tahoe and figured id share also.

I feel your pain brother! I just sold my beloved 2005 Silverado SS since I got a company car with my new job and my wife and I are trying to save to buy our first home...

All escalades and denalis of this generation are AWD AFAIK

Nope they made 2wd Escalades in the early years those had the 5.3 in 05 it appears they dropped the 5.3 and all you could get was the 6.0 in 2wd or AWD not sure about the Denali

I'm saying the LQ9 is a great engine having to use 93 is the only real downside

That would actually be easier on me since I use 93 in my nnbs and so when i go to the pump and accidentally hit the 87 becuz i think I'm in the nbs, i wouldn't have to get severely pissed real quick lol.

True, but I'll take the LQ9 6.0L over a 5.3/4.8 anyday! Nothing makes me happier than mashing on the go pedal and waking the beast :driver:

I've got an 03 Z71 Silverado with the 5.3 great truck but love the 6.0 better more power, same mileage maybe a tiny bit better and has a good exhaust note for stock exhaust

The family I live with puts 87 in their 2005 esky esv 6.0. I'm like :banghead:..... as far as I know the nbs Denali trim wasn't ever offered in 2WD. They were built with all AWD.

Damn that's no good it doesn't knock at all? Cause the owners manual says 91+ but I've seen some run 87 with no issues I still wouldn't risk it I'd rather pay the extra and know I'll have no issues

I've never noticed any knocks. I wouldn't risk it either. I run my denali's 6.0 on 91 no matter what. Lol. Mine hasn't had any issues in that regard either. But mine is a little better maintained than theirs because of the fact that I rely in it for my business every day and it drives every day.

That's terrible, I would have thought the LQ9 would run like poop with anything less than 91 octane in it. Unless ofcourse you tuned it specifically to run 87, in which case you should be in the puzzle factory...
