Dayum!! Quite a difference but still lookig good and that 6.0. Whoa!!

So mean sounding.
Thx man, I appreciate that. I was thinking about looking into aftermarket heads, but I think I need to leave it alone...... For now! ;)

My 07 Tahoe LTZ has 190,000 miles on it with the original 5.3 engine and original transmission. I am curious how many miles are on everyone else's vehicles and if they still have original equipment.

2010 Tahoe LTZ. 112,000 miles. Traded in my 2008 Corvette for this reliable 4WD. Changed spark plugs and plug wires today with new OEM from RockAuto, and it feels stronger, which is good since it was a PITA to get the old plugs and a few of the welded-in wires out. Iridium packaging says to gap the plugs to OEM spec, even though some websperts say that is taboo. (Hope that starts some flame-throwers) :893karatesmiley-thuI hope the fuel mileage improves. Onstar tells me this hog has a sad 16mpg lifetime average. Miss the Vette's power and 28mpg, but the Tahoe is much more comfortable and hauls my Dobermans around with less problems. The Air pump for the shocks died last year at 100,000 miles. Replaced with a new Arnott compressor and all is good. Almost time for some new brake pads. I change ATF every 30k and oil every 5k with Mobil 1 5W30. Runs like new. I would like to get 200k out of this one.

96 Tahoe had 213K on it when I blew the engine. My dumb fault, tried to accelerate going up a long hill, with 30 4x4x8's strapped on the roof rack. Dropped a Jegs GM crate 350 in it, drove it another 60K before selling it.

01 Suburban had 173K on it when it was totaled, got T-***** going through a stoplight (my side was green). Still have it, sitting in my back yard as a parts vehicle (engine still runs strong, as does the tranny). Would love to pull the 5.3, freshen it up and tweak it a tad and put in my Yukon XL (but that takes $$$, so...)

04 Yukon XL, just turned 203K. Drove from NY to Florida last month and back, over 3200 miles in one week, averaged over 16 mpg down and back.

22,950 on (new to me) 2014 Yukon Denali. It's very encouraging to see all the high mileage Tahoe/Yukon's still going strong in this thread. Hope to be one of those that achieves long miles with routine maintenance

164000 on my 08 yukon sly, in the process of doing some much needed Maintenance. Upper and lower control arms, struts, shocks, rotors and pads, fuel pump, fuel lines, plug wires. Everything else looks good so far!

07 Tahoe LS, 197K. Only major part to fail was the fuel pump a couple of years ago, which I replaced myself. I also blame myself for that, because I stupidly ran E85 every so often for a few months. Even though my Tahoe is a Flex Fuel, I'm pretty sure it was the E85. I have since learned about Ethanol, and will never run that crap in any kind of engine again.
