Gotta respect a guy that's given everything to his family and only got a minivan and sticker in return and is still a car guy lol..

I absolutely agree. There was a mini van on the net yrs ago that used to run some crazy times, something like 10's. It was a somewhat stock turbo mini van, that was obviously tuned. I thought it was him. My apologies to him and you.

Finished debadging and installed new led tail lights after some slight modifications to fit the barn doors with some new led reverse bulbs...disregard the nasty carpet, it will be getting replaced soon! lol

I despise fords. I owned 1 ford and it was fords nicest truck at the time, a lightning....and even that was a piece of poo. Very fast but put together very poorly.

The newer fords 13+ are nice. Both cars and trucks. Ecoboost trucks are legit.

I don't trust any mechanics. I'll bring my Bluedriver obd2 scanner if the seller agrees to a price I'm ok with and find any stored codes if there are any to find. Trans shifts good and suspension and steering feels tight. Interior is super dirty and that kind of annoyed me that they would put it up for sale without so much as even vacuuming it. THen again the weather has been pretty ****** lately.

IMO, I'd steer clear of the Escalade. If someone puts a vehicle up for sale without at least a decent cleaning, it's most likely a fair indication of how they took care of it. :2cents:

My inlaws have the Ford Expedition and it is allways at the dealer for something. And it looks great on the outside but is rusting is the weirdest places. And it's very small inside. I don't know why they won't buy a Chevy. They only have the Ford to tow there trailer.

My father always told me(he's a car guy to) you can judge a person by the way they take care of their car, if their car is dirty and messy...the person is usually dirty and messy

Had a tiny crack in the windshield drilled and filled along with a few surface chips yesterday and got my PDR guy on the phone to come look at it today.

Well, it wasn't today, but last week.....

Turned 200K on the odometer, left Wednesday afternoon and drove from NY to Naples, Florida for a wedding. Got there Thursday evening, drove another couple hundred miles between Naples and Marco Island over the 4 days we were there, then started home Monday morning. By the time we got home, had done just over 3000 miles from Wednesday to Tuesday night.

And managed over 15.5mpg over the whole trip, at avg speed of 61mph :)... cruised at 76-78 most of the way when able, average dropped when stuck in traffic or driving through smaller towns @ 35-45mph.

Now.... back to normal use, probably down around 14mpg, avg speeds of 35-37mph.:(

Replaced front diff, rear diff, and transfer case fluids. Tried to do a transmission fluid change, too, but ran into some problems. First the drain plug was completely rounded off and torqued down waaay past spec. Then I figured I'd just drop the whole pan instead, but couldn't figure out how to get the shift linkage bracket out of the way. So I ordered a set of nut extractors for the drain bolt, and think I might end up dropping the drive shaft to get access to the top mounting bolts for the shift linkage bracket, unless anyone else has a better idea how to get the pan down.
