Word of mouth that a local place by me sells them for around $300. Obviously not quite oem quality. But have yet to check them out.
You probably know though that the OEM ones are discontinued and aftermarket are the only new ones available now. Part of the reason I went with a cowl hood.

Yea I know, the closest is oem "certified" when I say buying something for our trucks new lol. Up to oem specs, fitment, grade streel, and all that junk. And even then they're still not as good quality.
I know it's all still aftermarket
Any oem would have to be bought used.

Not always a must have, I took mine off and we have a 6 month winter of salt and snow too. I just don't let my ride get that nasty where i need to use the wiper. If I do I just wipe it down at the gas station when I do the rest of my windows and I'm good for a few days or a few weeks depending on weather.

Around here, I might be good for a few minutes...

I just realized, for everyone looking for HD hoods, what about LMC truck? They have a 00-02 HD hood for $515 shipped. If you have the money I feel like that's a reliable source?

LMC body panels are not only expensive but their delivery policy is a bit troubling. If your HD hood arrives with scratches, dents, dings and other imperfections they don’t consider it damaged. :hmm:

Sport, didn't even know they had a third one, Xtreme! Can't even imagine just how much louder that one is! Interesting!

My other truck has no resonators, catless downpipes, straight piped into an H pipe at the end with a muffler delete and carbon fiber tips...it screams like a nascar lol

If i get that exhaust i'll stick with the sport, one loud beast is enough

Just put it back on this morning. I'm not too happy with it so I'll be bringing it to a shop this summer.

Basically exactly everything Mark said, like exactly lol.

I painted my radiator support beams too. Just shot them with plastidip real quick, hard to do if you don't have a garage and it's winter.
But now the question is black out or cm the chrome ? Black housing headlights ?
Maybe a bowtie or some kind of emblem somewhere:think:

We'll since I just bought the headlights those won't be changing any time soon so I was thinking a bow tie would. So nice to break up the ginormous opening.

Rather than start a new thread yet, figured I'd see what the NBS crowd thinks. Playing with maybe some exhaust tip ideas for the Tahoe. Stopped by the exhaust shop the other day and got some pics of this double wall, dual tip, polished set up. Angled forward and would have it cut so that it matches/lines up with the curve of the lower quarter and not sticking way out. Only chrome on the truck is the Esky rack and TBSS center caps. Figured it might look better than the OEM tip.

Didn't look good with just slash cut or rolled so of course the Corsa style caught my eye and the $$ is highest.

I have that tip installed on mine. I dig it a lot. Flows with the lines of the truck.
