So I just finished installing led bars in my fog lights but have run into some issues.

1) One side is dimmer than the other - ordered another light
2) New light sparks and blows fuse
3) Change fuse and original light is still dimmer and new light still won't turn on

Any ideas?

Fog light relay needed?

Dumb question, grounds and power wires correct?

Well I know they were correct for the first one because it came on but dim, so what would the issue be there?

The second light wouldn't turn on for anything and popped fuse both ways

How's the ground on the dim one? Good? Was the stock light on that side dim before the swap? Could just be a bad led too.

This is my set up, prior to this I had Hid in the stock housing

I've double checked the connections and these work but dim and the other side is fine - And with the new lights they seem to be doa
- I put the bar straight to stock wiring and still dim
- Could the stock wiring be shot?

Anything is possible. I'm not an expert by any means, but if it was me I'd try running each light to a different hot and ground, other than the factory fog wiring, and see what happens. If it's still dim then I'd say it has to be the light itself. Did you swap the lights around using the factory fog wiring? I hope I'm understanding what you've done so far correctly.

No problem I understand and appreciate the input. Yes I took the led bar wired to a male 880 harness then connect it the stock plug. Any idea why the new light could pop 3 fuses and the new light none?

Could be internally to the light itself. Could you exchange the lights for another set? If you're stuck with them, I'd open it up and look at the wiring. Maybe a screw pierced the insulation on the hot lead internally. Anything is possible.

Yeah I'll do some digging tomorrow, thanks.
