I see people keep referencing back to this thread when talking about CAI and it's a great comparison but it's over 4 years old now. How relevant is it to 15+ trucks?

The new OEM intakes are better than the older OEM intakes from everything we have seen. Gains seem to be right around the same.

I'm still on the fence between the airaid Jr. And the k&n Blackhawk system.

The extra $100 for the Blackhawk system isn't going to break the bank. Not seeing the gains with just piss me off. I want a little more power, sound and maybe even a little better MPG.

I'm not understanding this statement.

If the OEM intakes are getting better then wouldn't the aftermarket ones not gain as much power over factory?

I have the airraid on my 15 Denali. The one that has the filter and box etc.

I just put it back to stock for the oil change at the dealer...boy do I miss the sound when you hammer on it....
Power wise? Maybe a little tip in, low rpm power gain with the air raid, which goes against convention so ill notch that up to butt dyno wishing results!

Looks like the links have moved. I was going to point a friend to the results, but there's not much proof here anymore. Please update.
