Hey guys... working on my Z71 and just pulled off the factory nerf bars and molding around it. I'm getting ready to have it painted and wanted to have everything I could off of it beforehand.
After the plastic came off, I can see there is a bracket for the molding that is riveted onto the body. I thought I'd ask before I get beyond the point of no return if drilling those out is a bad idea. I think the stock nerf bars are ok, I just don't really like the molding. Eventually, I want the electric raising nerfs, but that's probably next summer. Thoughts?
