Glad you and your daughter were able to pull over safely. Hopefully GM will resolve this whole ordeal appropriately.

Scary situation . . . but could have been worse had the steering locked up at 75 mph.

So far no safety problems with my '15 LTZ but I'm beginning to wonder . . . :Nonono:

glad noone was injured
but i just have to say "WTF GM" if they had a rated new car defects faults and problems like they rate nuclear disasters a brand new 2015 yukon that comepletely going dead on the freeway would be churnobyl i mean seriously the only way that situation could get any worse is as you exited the vehicle you noticed flames coming from under the hood so you immediatly go for cover and dial 911 and as the operator comes on the line the vehicle explodes into a giant ball of fire

I agree Im glad your OK but that could have turned out to the worst, I would contact GM directly because talking to a salesman would be like talking to a toilet all they care about is sales. I would demand a full inspection or a new Vehicle because that could have taken lives. Im happy you both are OK and I hope you follow through with GM.

Great news! Looks like the dealer is going to swap out for a new Yukon XL. I'll know more tomorrow or Friday and will let the forum know how it turns out.

They said that when the dash was installed it pinched a wire harness behind the dash and cut open some of the wires and that the exposed wire touched some metal while I was driving and shorted out the system.

Wow.. Glad they just swapped it out as opposed to fixing it. Awesome!! GM is changing the way they do things. [emoji106]

That's pretty impressive they stepped up to the plate like that! Glad to hear they did the right thing and took care of you properly.
