What engine is in the Jeep?

Should be the 3.6. Well known for the oil leak at the oil filter/cooler housing. I have done a couple Jeeps Wranglers myself. Look below the oil filter housing and if you see a shiny reflection, the oil leak is there. If has been replaced already, it is an updated design.

Thanks for the tip @OR VietVet
Yes it is the 3.6
I will be under there soon checking it all out. Filter is high on the list. Am hoping it is much easier than the filter on the Yukon to change.
Much newer any way.
Is under 100,000 km on the click
Yea, just get under hood with a flashlight. Look where you can see under the filter housing under the intake. Look on each side of the spout for the filter. If you see a shiny reflection, that is the leaked out oil bath. The area where that housing bolts is like a tub shape and will hold at least a 1/2" of oil on top of the tub area. When you accel, if enough oil in there, the oil will slosh out the back and down the bell housing. there is coolant heater hoses that attach at that housing, as well.
