I found the GM VT-GMOS-04 Adapter and read the instructions but it has a 16 pin which goes to factory harness and harness that goes to the onstar. I dont have onstar so would I just leave that adapter disconnected.

Also this GMOS adapter looks pretty easy to install except my friend has the same vehicle with no onstar and he has an SPDT relay. He doesnt have the GMOS adapter he has some other adapter

Will I need a relay with the GMOS adapter to trade out my factory bose stereo to an aftermatket one?

i would say just dont hook it up, and i wouldnt think you would need the relay just to hook up an aftermarket radio, what exactly are you trying to achieve and do you already have the gmos
