Only at low speed, RPM doesn't matter. Makes whistling sound when going slowly but goes away when you come to a complete stop.

Changed the belt last week, needed to be done anyways.

It does actually, hadn't thought about it that way but yes. And it goes away when you come to a full stop?

Location
unknown at this time.
you checked the seal under the back of hood mount on the firewall right?

other ideas are a induction duct leak, if installed a cai may whistle sometimes sometimes if you also have a ported throttle body the the blade mode done.

this is whistling right not a squeak?

Years ago I had a mechanic at a dealership tell me it could be just the "sound" of the vortec system working ,and that it was normal…. Yea

Could be but I really don't see how I could check. The truck has to be moving to recreate the noise.
