What year is your truck? If you have a 99-03 there is a PCM calibration update for low idle that needs to be put in along with cleaning the throttle body. If you have an 04-06 you need to clean your throttle body.

I have an 01...is the PCM calibration something the dealer needs to do?

Thanks

Yes. Depending on the dealer and how prices are in your area should be between $50 and $100. Make sure to clean the throttle body VERY well right before you have the calibration installed.

Just clean your TB and do the Seafoam trreatment through the PCV valve. It will clean your top end and solve your problem. If you need instructions PM me your e-mail and I will send a PDF.
