FWIW, I would put it on Ebay as is.
i sell a LOT on ebay....here is what I do:

run it first as an auction, with a reserve.

then run it a second time, as a "buy it now" with your price.

there's a lot of psychology that i don't feel like typing out...but it WORKS, i have ALWAY sold what I needed to, if the price was reasonable.

why get "trade" value when you can get "retail"
it costs ~$60 on each auction

also, FWIW, I did up a HUGE spreadsheet of how to figure out the "ROI" return on investmetn of going to a cheaper car for MPG (it NEVER does pay for it self)

i say keep it, drive it, don't worry about it.

i bought a Geo Metro for $800 while back, put $400 repairs into it, 36mpg & AC.
if you trade it in...you will prolly lose MORE on trade than a used Honda costs

I've bought and sold a lot of cars, especially ones with low miles, I personally would not trade it, I've always had a LOT of luck with autotrader, also craigslist.
its a new tahoe basically with a not so new price, people will jump all over it.
I'm not sure where you are located but I always go to Carmax, they offer about 3k below what you could sell it for privately, but if you were to trade it in, the offer Carmax gives you will help you be firm with the dealership on what they need to give you. Good luck.

here's a screen shot of the EXCEL math:

basically, going from 16mpg to 26mpg saves you $2500 a year:

PM me your address, and I can send you the excel file.

I wish I got those gas prices. I'm in Cali, and its pretty much $5 a gal. Best to just put your card in the machine and look the other way ?

The most we have been offered from the dealers is $45k, seems pretty fair, it's more than we owe so we would end up ok. But the wife still hasn't decided, I have been looking at diesels and could have a good one on the line I will find out tomorrow. It's just a matter of talking the wife out of a Honda and into a diesel which for us would be a better decision since it is what we are going to be buying in 2 years anyway. We will see, I don't mind the Tahoe at all, i actually love it. but long term here is we dont want to have a suv and a diesel but for our family it just doesn't make sense to have 2 cars. We are outdoor kinda people, have a trailer and quads so 2 cars just wouldn't make sense. We will see.

If you decide to dump the Hoe, I'd take that $45K and run!! That seems like a great deal.

Yeah I feel it is a great deal also. Now that we have a good price and its getting real the wife is having trouble figuring out what she wants to do. Go figure.

Ok guys so don't get me wrong I don't really want to get rid of the Tahoe but after so much talk to the wife about it, I was ready to do whatever(well still do not like the idea of a Honda but its not worth it too argue that much it's just a vehicle) she is not willing to budge on me getting a diesel right now but also doesn't want a Honda right now. She wants to keep the Tahoe till after the 1st of the year. This sucks more than getting rid of it!! For me anyways, no more mods, no more Tahoe, nothing to really appreciate about it as she wants to re-evaluate it. Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! For me personally there is no point in paying for something you know your going to trade in, in 2 months!!! To me it's like saying hey what do you think about getting a divorce in 2 months. Hahahaha ******** women!! If it were up to me I would have been driving a diesel home from the dodge dealer last night. 45k in trade, 11k in rebates, cheaper payment by 150$, and financing 3k less than we owe on our tahoe right now. a F-ing steal! The only negative was we had a low low interest rate compared to 0 interest rate. Sorry for the rant I'm just annoyed, I have passed up so many good deals (mods from TYF, other car deals, a steal on a Honda a week ago and now this steal on the dodge) WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe you should just trade in for the diesel, then when you get home play stupid like "you told me this is what you wanted, I wanted to keep the Tahoe. I did this for you baby". It could work, usually works for women when they play dumb.

It might even work....

Well guys I am pretty sure we are keeping the Tahoe for a few years! I'm excited but also a littl sad that I can't get my diesel now but if that happened that means the wife would have to drive my 96 accord with the kids and I just feel much safer with them in the Tahoe. Just so everyone knows I had an extremely hard deal to pass up also, I was looking at a lightly used dodge 2500 diesel, it wasn't really that great though besides the diesel, would have needed a lot of modding, only had 11k on it. Anyway NW Motorsports offered me 47-47,500 for my Tahoe!!!! I know that is an awesome deal but kids safety is worth more for me. Now only if I can get the wifey to ok a BB tune, air-raid MIT, and exhaust preferably corsa sport I would be super stoked!!!!!
