It's a 100% original R/T with the factory 440 Magnum and 727TF transmission. The car was purchased new by the previous owner's son who passed away in Vietnam. According to the owners and from what the documentation shows; the car has less than 4k original miles on it.

The original tires are still mounted to the rally wheels that came with the car! The car had been placed on blocks about 2 years after the son had been killed due to the threat of flooding in the area. It was still on blocks when my father answered the add selling it.

The add placed stated the car was a 1970 Dodge Dart, not the Challenger. No one had come out to see the car before my dad and of course dad bought it. Asking price was $1150 and we transport off the property. Dad paid the owner $5,000 just to be a bit more fair.

I say Dad as if I'm a kid ......... I'm actually 43 and he's 67. LOL.

The Challenger will definitely have a way about her when we're finished.

Thanks. Next up will be a 911. The wife and I plan on doing some traveling in it so it will probably be a 911 S with the Prosche PDK transmission. The wife is more comfortable driving the auto's. I think we will wait until 2012 to buy again though. Part of the the thought behind buying the Tahoe was so that I can tow a Porsche to race days if I want to.

Dtails, nice info on the car dude and what a find that is!! I'm not big on Mopar for the most part but those Challengers are tight cars! I also like the road runners and chargers!! :waytogo:

ghoster, hopefully you can keep your interest with the tahoe! After driving Porsche's I'm dure the tahoe is fairly boring! :)

Nice! I can't wait to buy another Porsche. I used to have a '89 944 S2 and '86 944 Turbo that I used for AutoX and SCCA events. They were perfect 50/50 weight distribution but were $$$$ to keep running properly. I wouldn't mind a C4S as a DD... it would do well in the winter here in Chicago ;)

Here is my other toy.

This car was owned by an Boeing engineer who took ridiculous care of and saved EVERY receipt (all work completed @ local Ford) and piece of paperwork that came with the car...I even have the original invoice plus delivery paperwork.

The sticker on this thing in '89 was $27k...I didn't even know Mustangs could get up that high back then.

It only has 47k miles...all documented.

[/COLOR]Nice car sparg :waytogo:

Thanks!!!

I'm currently running with LT Headers and true duals that dump out the back. It's killing me to not really modify this car, but @ 49k miles, it is fun driving it the way Ford intended (just a little louder of course)

Yeah...that would be hard to mod a car with that low of orginal miles. Those 5.0 motors sound great with the right exhaust, though :)
