What do you guys think of my front brake pads?

I know the rotor looks mirrored but it really isn’t and there’s no grooves. Looks like it’s just picking up the flash from my phone. Plenty thick too.

They look fine to me. Probably a little more than half worn on the pads. But the one on the caliper side usually wears out first, so it's worth getting a mirror back there for e a looksee.

I just went ahead and bought some new ceramic pads. It’s not that much. And now I can say I did them. Preserve the rotors best I can.

Good call. Super easy job on these, thankfully.
All done. After the first one the second one was a breeze… going for a test ride now. I’ll drop a picture of those pads in a minute. They actually had quite a bit of life left, but I suppose I can keep them for backups if they’re evenly worn? Or do we not do that.

Lots of life left. I don’t usually hang on to that kind of stuff, but they’re definitely reusable if you’re in a financial pinch in the future.

My dad said re surface them a bit. They were a little glazed.

Also when I was removing all the bolts and stuff everything was so tight so I made everything as tight I could again. I mean like hang tight. I didn’t stomp on anything

Should be fine. 3/8” and 1/2” torque wrenches are wise investments though, even if they’re cheap harbor freight ones. I use them every time.

slight gradual pull to right. I know calipers aren’t sticking. I was able to move them 1-2 mm. They should have a little play I read because they are a floating design. I think it’s a pre existing alignment issue

Also greased pistons with this
