What do you guy's think of 24's

I was planning on getting 22's but, I think i might go with these 24's. What do you think? Will they mount flush and not stick out of the fenders?

This actually isnt true.. it has alot less to do with width and alot more to do with offset.. you can have a 24x9.5 with a positive offset and they will poke out ALOT more than a 24x11 with a negative or less positive offset...

(example 1 a +25 offset will poke out 10mm further than a wheel with a +15 offset)
(example 2 a 24X9.5 with a +40 offset will sit ,1/2 inch further OUT than a 24X10 with a +15 offset)


The easy answer to you though is this.. there are ALOT of people with 24x10s who are on air bags and can lay frame.. in other words.. they can tuck the wheels inside the fenders...


So when you go to pick your 24s.. my best advice is to run a NNBS offset.. those trucks have a slightly more positive offset than we do , stock, so running those wheels on our trucks pulls the wheel in a little bit.. not enough to cause turning issues.. just enough to sit it inside the fender.

btw 24s on these trucks are def not too big IMO.. infact you can dropp it 3/6 on 24s and itll still make a good daily driver

i love those wheels btw.. im a huge 5 spoke fan.. when we start Project Tahoe SS we are doing a 5 lug swap JUST so i can run a 5 spoke exposed five like the foose nitrous 5s.... and for $1500 thats just ****

I have a question, it might sound silly, but here it goes.

Why do you want to put bigger wheels on your truck?

The reason why I ask this question is because it does absolutely nothing for the truck in my opinion.

I have a new Avalanche out in the yard that has 20 inch wheels and P 275/55/20 inch tires on it - or somewhere there about's, and I cannot lift the wheels and tires by myself and I am 6'4 / 345 lbs.

I swear those wheels and tires must weigh like 100 lbs each.

Don't you realize that the more stuff weighs the more rolling resistance it has and the more unsprung weight the less it is going to handle and will not get good gas mileage.

I don't want to look cool, I want to go fast. I want everything to be as strong as it can possibly be - because I take my vehicles four wheeling.
I don't care if it costs $50,000
If I want to go through the mud and the snow and play in the dirt and go rock crawling, I am going to go. The same holds true if I want to go 120 MPH

Those rubber band tires don't really handle all that well and they ride like a brick and you can't get a set of tires with decent tread on them. So why do you want to buy those wheels? It doesn't make any sense to me - so that is why I am asking, not to start a fight or to call you stupid or anything.

I own a quad for all those reasons you just mentioned.

I dont need to go 120 mph in this thing I would rather live and not have a ticket.

In my opinon i like the way big wheels look, but there is such a thing as too big.

To each is own you like certain things thats why you do them. I like other things thats why i do them. A question like that is asking why do i like heavy metal music and not jazz.

ya im 6'0" and 175 and i lifted my 22s onto my truck.. yea it wasnt easy but i did it by myself in my gravel driveway.. you do get a little worse gas mileage but if you are into big wheels its worth the sacrifice.

I'm only 5'3" and about 125 lbs and I was able to put on my stock 20's by myself. With my 24's, I had to have my girl help me line up with the wheel with the studs cuz they are too heavy.

My 24's are a +18 offset with a 295/35 tire and only the front wheels stick out a tad. The rear is flush but mines a NNBS.

lol u must have no muscle, im 6'2 270 and i dont have a problem putting my 24s on and i dont have a problem putting on my boys 26s for his NNBS tahoe, maybe you just trying to lift them the wrong way
