Installed the new retro headlights from @OHSIXX a few nights ago. Just got the opportunity to take some pics. Now I need to do something with the gmc emblem, any suggestions? The black just doesn't show well on the black surround

You're going to love those lights! I have the same setup. As far as the emblem you you can paint the inside letters black and leave the chrome trim around for separation. That's the way I have mine and it doesn't blend all together.

Would you mind showing how you mounted it? Similar to what I want to do, but i want it behind the grille.

Bent up some light gauge aluminum, have them bolted into what is left of the grille..made a "T", secured the light at the base of the T by drilling a hole in each, then folded the T over and made tabs that I could bend to mount to the grille.

I know, kinda hard to picture. Will pull it back out to get some pics when I can.

I wanted to do that, the thing being it is a all black aftermarket emblem I purchased when I wrecked it, and the previous owner had a billet one with no emblem. I might try a junkyard

So jealous of your lights. Hoping to have a retro myself before winter.

As for the emblem do red reflective vinyl. I think that would look sick, I want someone to try it. It's what I did with my bowtie except blue. Just a thought. Only cost me $5 for a 12"x12" piece.

Spent 30 minutes calling 3 Chevy dealerships yesterday trying to get the parts guys to understand that a 2005-2006 tahoe lower air dam extension WILL fit my 2000 Tahoe. Then I spoke with a parts woman and she looked up the part w/o my vin and got one ordered for me.

Yea it's a perfect fit. Fits all year tahoes. Except z71. That would need to be custom fitted

I ordered one for my Denali on Friday. Going on retrofit it like SlowD did. I just walked in with the PN and walked out with a receipt. I hate having to explain to them what's really up

I know right! They're like what's the vin? I'm like don't worry about it, I'm putting a non optional part on my truck. Find the part, I'm paying for a service dammit!!

And those lips look so sexy on denalis
