Well today I went down to the credit union and wrote 2 checks and paid off both my Tahoe and the Silverado. I have never owned a vehicle out right before, and I am so excited to not have any payments.

:waytogo: Congrats! I've been there before, and it's a great feeling! Can't wait to be there again one of these days!

If you're not running a relay they will do that sometimes. Mine did this until I did relays.

Both fogs and 1 headlight does not come on. Put relay on the lows, still same thing.

Yeah I talked to DenaliAK(scott) and he said try the relay harness they gave you and gave me a link on a very simple how to which ill post here for reference to allhttp://www.ramforum.com/f75/how-wire-up-your-hid-harness-5424/
simple and to the point ill be doing this today as well as installing a led resistor hopefully that goes smoothly

i didnt order a relay harness, didnt think i need it besides have some laying around. Tried it, still 1 headlight not working and fogs dont work, 1 comes on for like a 1 min. then goes out.

I think the bulbs are all bad. Tried another bulb and came on just fine and stayed on.

(think im sending all back to ddm and ordering a real kit, too many issues lately w/ ddm)

Yeah i know what you mean. Its hard to not get bit by that bug. Luckily my wife is going back to college and I wont have her income anymore so I really wont be able to buy anything else anyway until she is done.

CONGRATS! A great feeling indeed!

And I agree with TahoeMike, ............ NO "I want bugs". :)

Now if you have a little time after (or before) your next drink, explain the term "spray waxing" if you would please. Is there a better and easier way rather then the old "elbow grease" when it comes to waxing the truck?

Thanks in advance.

Today, and for the last several, really...what I did to my truck: I dug it out. Snow won't quit this winter. We got a one-day reprieve and another storm is on the way. At least I don't live here, where they have gotten 20+ feet of snow so far this winter:

Ever go to the carwash? Well towards the end they spray on a spray wax and rinse it off. Very similar. I actually go to my local carwash place and ask the guy if I can buy some off him and he hooks me up. Then I go home, wash my truck, put spray wax in my sprayer diluted with water, and spray wax and rinse.

Thanks very much for the detailed explanation Chauncey, I do now know what we are talking about.

Had to pull my amp out... I'm afraid it's gone south for the winter. Mailing it off tomorrow... hopefully it'll get fixed or replaced.

Holy cow Scott, thats alot of snow. Forget trying to unbury the truck in that stuff. Id just leave it there. lol.

Not really a what did you do, but more of a what happened today .

Well, i have no headlights mysteriously now. Unhooked relay, hooked straight to tahoe wiring, works, but relay comes on when plugged in, but wont turn lights on. ??? Do the wires go bad, i checked neg and neg. I hear the relay click on. OH well,

Why can't I live in Alaska!?!? After seeing this and watching clips on the news today it makes me want to move there...

I ripped my hid harness and ballasts out because they were smoking heavily in fear of them setting fire....

That part melted completely and carried throughout the harness which is all filed and melted together... FUXK DDM

How you like your phone? thought about getting one. LOL.

How you like the yellow (for topic discussion, lol)

I love the fone. Best fone I've had by far. So easy to root and mod like crazy I'm running cm9 alpha right now. This thing is lighting quick. As for the lights, I love em so far. The color just looks so effing cool at night. I really got them for better visibility in fog snow rain etc. so we will see how they are next time I'm in those conditions. Plus my 8k fogs i had didnt match my 8k that I had or my 6k lows that i have now. Looks like a different color since the lows are in a projector. Btw, anyone need a set of 8k fog bulbs? They are ddm so look like 6k. Definitely get both the fone and HIDs lol

Yeah, I actually love Alaska most of the time. I am tired of shoveling snow, though....

As for the lights...holy crap, man. Don't ever take advice from me again regarding HID's, I might burn your truck down. Seriously, I hope I had nothing to do with that.

Totally OT: I want a Galaxy Nexus!! It's not an option in Alaska, but I want one anyway. I am thinking about getting a Galaxy S II Skyrocket, though....
