Yech. Imagine what they would look like by now if the leather ones look like they do.

But you can do the bottoms (leather/vinyl combo like they are originally) for $209 from The Seat Shop. I just checked and the price has gone up. Then if you follow their directions for using Scrubbing Bubbles to clean the backs and armrests they look like new. That’s what I did. The backs almost never wear out.

My back is worn on the driver's seat, and the armrest is pretty rough too. And I would need bottoms for the 2nd row captains seats, and really the top of one is pretty rough. I haven't inspected the 3rd row much. I figured I would just patch these up and see how long they last. I'm trying to get this thing up to a half a million on the odometer, so maybe when it hits 400 I will re-wrap the seats, .

It's like 350 for vinyl just to do the driver's seat. We already spent all of our vehicle budget on this thing. I'm just happy the lumbar isn't poking me in the back, and I finally got all of the duct tape residue off of the seat

I think I paid about $335 in total this past June for my driver's seat cover and new foam cushion from The Seat Shop; quality stuff. OEM style leather/vinyl cover was about $210. Of course I haven't replaced it yet.

Did the annual oil change this evening with Rotella Gas Truck 5w30 and a Wix long 51522 filter. Needed to do it before it gets cold and have less motivation to get it done, and took a sample for a Blackstone analysis, since I've never had one done on the truck. Has 108,700 miles on the clock.

I also installed an ICT billet oil cooler blockoff plate that is like this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/144110333460?hash=item218da52e14:g:IeMAAOSwurtg63AG
However, it seems to weep a bit from the bottom mating surface and I'm going to watch it carefully, but would like recommendations on what type of sealer to use if I have to remove it and add some kind of gasket sealer. Suggestions?

I spent $150 for a shop to redo both my front seats. Driver seat needed foam on the side. Where ya getting these ridiculous prices from?? This was end of last year and they still look as good.

I had the same one for over a year, running 80+ psi oil pressure at times and never so much as a weep. I removed it for the factory oil cooler install and it's now on my neighbor's truck. Black RTV (the one for oil contact) should be fine. I'd put a tall bead on top of the O-ring and let it set up just enough so it holds its shape when turned sideways, install it but just barely snug it up with the bolts, then tighten it down after the curing period.

Oh, it's tight, and I doubt that the o-ring slipped; it was stuck pretty good in the groove. If it leaks I'll pull it off and do the sealer. 'Appreciate it!

Swapped out the blue cluster LED’s for white ones. I finally gave up on converting the interior lighting to blue since mines an 02. If it was an 03-06 it would be easy.

What's the difference between the 51522 and the 57045? I saw someone else mention they used that one and it is what was on their wife's enclave or something, so that's what I grabbed. It looked the same as the one that's meant for the truck, just longer.

The threads on the 57045 are 22x1.5mm. The 51522's threads are SAE, 13/16-16. Not interchangeable.

Also, burst pressure for the 57045 is higher (350 vs. 290) and the gasket thickness and diameters are somewhat different.

The By-Pass Valve setting on the 57045 is 12-15 psi, while there isn't one on the 51522.

Filtering is the same at 21 micron (nominal). Both have anti-drainback valve. Wix has more specs on its web site, but here's a snip of each:

Put a water pump, and thermostat in today. Noticed a puddle of coolant under the truck yesterday. Found that some in the past drilled the lower hole out of the thermostat housing mount and the put a bolt through the back. Must have stripped the bolt out last time they swapped the thermostat.

Just to see if/how the truck adjusts the percentage, and I like to familiarize myself with the Tech 2. Wish I could find a good ethanol PID for Torque Pro.

But for curiosity's sake I should do some kind of comparison with a known sample, since I'm not really certain that the fuel composition sensor value is accurate. Not that it matters much as long as the fuel trims adjust and I have that awesome feeling of power under foot. (As Dad would have said, the "foot-feed.")

Same… I spent something around $500. New back and bottom, bottom foam, and new heater elements for both back and bottom, since when the back went out, I decided it was time to get ‘er done..! Annnd all the parts are sitting in my office….. soo Steve, when are we doing our seat repair party…!?

I plan on doing mine soon @Sam Harris and would love to experiment on yours! Although all I'm doing is the seat. Hopefully I don't break the old heater when I swap it over....

Heck, if the old foam cushion is still "okay" I may offer it up here to someone just for the shipping. Got a perfect shipping box from the Seat Shop.

I think it's a bit curious that every once in a great while we run into parts with SAE threads on these. Keep us on our toes!
