Something I’ve been meaning to ask the group for a while. Colorado roads are crap. Cracks everywhere, and constant potholes due to the freeze / thaw of our weather. One thing that drives me crazy is the brake pedal bounces sometimes when going over these bumps. It’s not something I can just slow down for, they’re everywhere. So I know at certain times, my brake lights are flashing for a quick second, due to this bouncing pedal. Does anyone have a solution.?
My brake pedal bounces on rough roads too. I doubt it activates the brake lights tho.

You’re saying it’s bouncing without your foot on it? I doubt it bounces enough to activate the switch if it does. Before you go trying to troubleshoot a problem, you should make sure there IS a problem. Have somebody follow you as you drive around so they can tell you if it’s actually happening. Then go from there.
Pretty sure it does.. I saw an TBSS next to me the other day hitting a ****** bump and saw the brakes light up at exactly the same spot. I guess no one else has had a problem with that. ?

Never. And that TBSS driver might be one of those people who drives with their foot resting on the brake pedal. I see plenty of those. Anyway, check for a problem before worrying about fixing it. The solution if you have a problem is a stiffer spring on the brake pedal.

If you can get to cruise control speed, set it and see if it turns off when you go over a bump.

Don't ************ up there and follow you! ;)

C’mon up Fless! Have a look-see!!

Oh I forgot to mention: yesterday I was in a double turn lane that merged to a single lane after the turn.. (Fless, it was @ HWY 7 & Sheridan).. This guy in a Volvo S60 T6 pulls next to me in the lane that ends.. obviously thinking he would pass me on the right before his lane ended. I went ahead and enabled “sport mode”, and got ready. I heard his turbo spooling and he was on it, but couldn’t wedge past me. Lol it was hilarious. A 6000 LB SUV beat him. [emoji1787][emoji23]He was pretty pissed and of course tailgated me for a mile or 2 after that. Apologies, I have no video evidence, so here’s Lucy and my wife’s Accord after a detail ..

I decided to go ahead and “attempt” to paint the trim around 3rd brake light and Esky appliqués. I say attempt because I already know from previous try’s at painting that things never come out like they’re supposed to.
