Bad news for my buddies Denali. Hopefully he shut it off before the crank or block were damaged.
Might end up taking a trip to Summit in ATL this weekend and pick up a short block to slap his prc heads on.

Still hoping the cam is good

That’s some pretty chunky stuff. If that was a sluice box and that was gold it would be great.

Probably gonna paint the chrome ppv caps black--to match the painted black rims. Think I should go with chrome or black lugs? I'm undecided which. Opinions?

Ok, motor is yanked. Turned out it was a cam bearing, so I need a new cam. Think I could reuse the same pushrods? Think they're ok?

Out of everything that can be affected by the shrapnel from a roached cam bearing, the pushrods are the least likely to be harmed. Just look at the tips to make sure they aren't scored from metal in the oil. They're probably fine. If they were sized for the cam you had, then you may or may not be able to use them if you get a cam with considerably lower or higher lift.

They look good to me! I'm reusing mine if that makes you feel better.

When I originally bought my 6.0 in my Silverado it had a spun cam bearing and was hell to get out. Sorry for your loss

The bearing is likely stuck on the cam and is trying to come through the next bearing which isn't going to happen easily haha. I can remember if you planned to reuse that block or not?

That's exactly what happened. I bought another motor. This one is still good tho, right? Just needs new bearings I'd think.

Don't get rid of it! Called TSP, Summit, ATK and my local machine shop looking for a 408 short block for my buddy and nobody has any because they can't find iron 6.0 blocks anymore. Partly due to covid but still keep it or bring it to me

Finally installed my tail light set. Good fitment. LED bulbs on the way next
