I painted the trim and handle on the 05-06 hatch glass I bought. Thinking about color matching the top trim but I’m still undecided so for now it’s matte black. Also changed the oil today.

No, I got it from a national yard, LKQ. They have a local office/yard but they brought it in from Seattle to Portland. It was the second one- the first one from Cali was messed up. I went ahead and color matched, I’ll install it tomorrow.

I've kinda always hated running boards. Everytime I've bought something that had them they come right off day one. Not sure why I dislike them so much. Maybe because I don't care for giant lifted trucks and I'm 6'4" so I don't ever need them.

I do like the look of rock sliders on true off road rigs though.

They’re part of the body style on GM SUV’s though and imo they don’t look right if they’re not there. I don’t use mine on my 02 Denali but it sure would look funny without them especially since the front and rear fender trim ties into them. Not as much on the other models but they’re definitely designed to be part of the look.

Denali is the only exception. Otherwise toss the running boards imo. My frame was disgusting when I took mine off. So I wire brushed and cleaned up my frame then sprayed undercoating and it still looks good to this day.
