Well I'll be damned, I guess I need to get into the lithium game if its putting up numbers like that for that cheap. And at maximum I really would only need around 5k if I build upon this setup. Are they safe though?

anyways, finally got off my ass today and installed my 2nd pair of retrofits

I made a new set for 2 reasons:

1) I hate the amber reflector on the OEM housings
2) I spent like 16 hours on my first set, and wanted to prove to myself that I could do a better job the second time.

My initial cutoff was:

and now it is:

and my long awaited DIY video:

Thanks for the input. The Mechman was a 240 amp for only $189 so even if I go with something else I can probably sell for a profit. I'll definitely look into CES. And as far as lithium batteries I don't have any knowledge on them but the most I'll probably go is another amp strapped but run them low so I am not sure if I'll have a need. Maybe a recone down the road as well but I don't have any desire to atm. As is the system is a little much for me and for normal listening I'm at around 1/2 volume on the head unit and about 1/3-1/2 on the bass knob. My door inserts and locks are falling out lol. And as far as the facebook group I'm not on facebook yet but I'm going to get one soon. I'm hoping to go to a show sometime soon, once I really get the system dialed in.
Shoot me a PM if you have any questions about lithium Batts.

I built a 1600 amp hour 16.8v lithium bank out of a Nissan leaf battery once upon a time

No idea. Power mirrors work, and the lit turn signals work, but not the power folding feature. I def have the right switch for it.View attachment 218633
I don't think it's like the nnbs where the feature would need to be programmed into the bcm.
You've probably checked but it's there a separate fuse for the folding portion?

2004 Z71 Suburban Green I have a few upgrades done.

Doubt it. All that's needed are the mirrors and the proper powerfold mirror switch. Everything should be pnp. @95escahoe threw me for a loop tho when said something about the mirrors might need to be reset if they were manually pushed in. Never heard of that one before.

Yeah sometimes mine hang up when someone something manaually does fold them. Just push them both back in and fold them back out again. And they should work again.

I manually fold mine all the time. The memory on mine stinks and the mirrors never go back to the correct tilt and, since that seems to be part of the powerfold, I manually fold the passenger side before going into the garage. Then I manually fold them out after exiting. No reset, the powerfold still works, but I don't use it. Much.

I’ll manually fold my mirrors sometimes and they always return to position with the switch without any hang ups.

i read in my manual if you manually move them in or back out they will move at hwy speed, then you need to rest them. its simple, open and close them 3 times. you might hear a loud click, thats the motor re catching i suppose.
