Got my audio rebuild finished over the weekend. 4 Sundown Sa-12's in a huge box and a 8" octoport paired to Audiopipe 2000.1 at 2 ohm. 4 6.5 Kenwood 3-way coaxials that were already in the truck with all new SHCA 14 ga on a Skar 75.4. Big 3 with SHCA 1/0 OFC, ran to the back under the body. New aux, usb, RCA's. I am absolutely blown away by this system. First real test at about 75% volume turned the service airbag warning on (turned off after shutting truck off and starting it up again). Ordered a Mechman 240 amp for it today, and a Northstar battery and some CT Sounds 2-way components are on the way soon. Huge learning experience for me, especially with running the wire.

Here's a low quality vid if anyone is interested. All you can really hear is bass and rattling but you get the idea:

Tried to get the powerfold mirrors to work. They won't fold, either one.

Return the Mechman if you can and go with CES instead. Much better product at a much better price.

Also ditch the Northstar AGM and go with lithium. Again, much better performance and a much better price.

Other than that, it looks solid!

No idea. Power mirrors work, and the lit turn signals work, but not the power folding feature. I def have the right switch for it.View attachment 218633
I don't think it's like the nnbs where the feature would need to be programmed into the bcm.

When I first got my Escalade I folded the driver side mirror in by hand then a few days latter I went to try out the power fold feature and it didn’t work I just figured the motors were shot, then a few months latter I read something about it you folded them in by hand there was a reset you had to do I forget what exactly you had to do it was some combination of pressing the button and they ended up working and still work, it’s a cool feature just never have a need for it honestly, maybe that helps

Hmmm, never heard of needing to do a reset before. Remember where you read that? Interesting...

Thanks for the input. The Mechman was a 240 amp for only $189 so even if I go with something else I can probably sell for a profit. I'll definitely look into CES. And as far as lithium batteries I don't have any knowledge on them but the most I'll probably go is another amp strapped but run them low so I am not sure if I'll have a need. Maybe a recone down the road as well but I don't have any desire to atm. As is the system is a little much for me and for normal listening I'm at around 1/2 volume on the head unit and about 1/3-1/2 on the bass knob. My door inserts and locks are falling out lol. And as far as the facebook group I'm not on facebook yet but I'm going to get one soon. I'm hoping to go to a show sometime soon, once I really get the system dialed in.

no problemo, CES's main guy Jonathan Patrick is a personal friend, and I can't recommend him or his products enough :p

he's consistently voted the best customer service in the industry

and you can build your own lithium battery for extremely cheap

a 45aH will run you about $350 total if you have access to a drill press, and will support 8k-10kw clamped with ease

or if you're not much of a DIY guy, Kevin Ross (MiSolar) sells $400 ish cased lithiums with balancers and all that good stuff

he's also a good local friend :)
