Installed my Airaid Jr intake. I was going to go with the super cost-effective pvc tubing for now, but ended up on ebay looking for some silicone, rather than rubber couplings.. Hmm, there it is.. I couldn't resist. IMG_4294.jpg IMG_4295.jpg IMG_4296.jpg

My 05 has no build thread ‘cause Im not spending more than $20 on parts at a time. Except the catch can was more like $40 dammit.

Did you hit your head? I know you’re not new to this. You can’t own anything stock, it’s not in your blood. I see at least a 2/4 and some 22s by this summer:lol:

I’ll be back driving The Beast by then and the 05 will be sold. I need to spend my money on a new air management system for The Machine lol.

I know it’s embarrassing. But snow and crap flying around 2-5 days a week has limited my desire to detail under the hood. Once warmer weather returns, I’ll be getting it done.

yup, once this gets dirty no one will see a new pic lol engine looks clean, the bay,,, not so much lol

regal rips like never before too btw. had some issues along the way tuning it, bought a cheap new maf and it was crap, then i had some tm abuse settings that were pulling my timing down like 2º wot, yeah it stops pulling lol then once it would open up the injectors maxed out on the 2.8 pulley, so i had no choice but to pulley up to the 3.0. makes like 13 psi now. got her all tuned in now. ive yet to push the timing any higher then 19. i think it will take 21 again tho.

Got these from Amazon:

I saw them in another thread, but can’t find it now [emoji23] Previously, I had upgraded the stock ones to Sylvania Zevo LED’s, but these are much brighter. We’ll see how long they last. At least it’s a 4-pack.. [emoji6]

I dont remember which leds ive got in mine atm. They arent bad, huge imrovement over stock of course. COuld be better though. $8 for a pack of 4 is pretty cheap. Those appear to be newer chipsets. How was the fit in the housing? IIRC mine were a real squeeze.

They fit fine, but you have to angle the flat plate even with the bottom edge of the housing, if that makes sense. A bit hard to tell, but I'll try:

Went to the Junkyard this past weekend. Was mostly looking for a dashboard for my Ram, but hey you know how it is... won't pass up a good part if ya seen one, am I right?

The trucks they had JUST GOTTEN IN on Friday were already robbed of the dashboards by the time I got there Saturday morning.. not really all that surprised, I guess. So I got the hood hinges I needed, found a couple different overhead consoles and snagged the wiring harness, a door latch cable for one of the rear doors, and a full set of Kicker door speakers. Planning on throwing them in the Tahoe.... if I can make the 6x9's fit (and if they work).

As I was leaving, I remembered that the Tahoe needed a jack and the jack tools.... I must've looked through 10 GMT800s of various body styles searching for them damn things until I finally found the jack.... then searched through another 5 more when I finally found the tools. Then, I walked past a black esky with the rear vent panels still intact.... DIBS! Also remembered that my brother-in-law needed a new dash bezel. So I grabbed one for him.... turns out, it was a double-DIN bezel and he doesn't want a double-din radio. (so @Tonyrodz , I appreciate the offer, but I won't be needing the bezel anymore ;) ).

Got a couple more things, but I can't remember for the life of me what they were. Totalled out at about 80 bucks though.

Forgot to get pics.

Yes. They have to go in on an angle that actually ends up being parallel to the ground.
