I don't get the solid color wraps- why not just paint and it would actually look better. I can understand doing a wrap if it's a pattern or graphic.I'm thinking this, the wrap, not the lift

Cheaper-ishI don't get the solid color wraps- why not just paint and it would actually look better. I can understand doing a wrap if it's a pattern or graphic.
Ummm...not really by much.Cheaper-ish
$1500 wrap vs $4000 paint.Ummm...not really by much.
Who wraps an entire truck for $1500? Not around here. More like $3000.$1500 wrap vs $4000 paint.
Or $99 macco no sand or tape-off paint job lol
I am aware of both nnbs trucks here. I have never seen an NBS yuk or Tahoe like this. I am on the fence about keeping the rack and boards or just keep the boards and remove the rack. I have black wrap for the roof already. Gray vinyl will be about $240 with BF discount@inmypassatlife
Did you see Regency’s 07 Yukon?

A wrap in my neck of the woods with Avery material is about $1350...competition is fierce and capitalism rules. I will be wrapping it myself.Who wraps an entire truck for $1500? Not around here. More like $3000.

Dont want to be a downer but your dings are going to show right through a wrap. Every imperfection will be visible.So.... Before the topic got off track, I'm still on the fence about keeping the roof rack. Guess we'll see when it gets here.
As far as why paint instead of a "sticker", well honestly I don't have access to any of the tools I need to paint anymore. I still have friends in the industry and I can get a heck of a paint job for $1500, originally was going to go black base and a pearl tint coat, but the truck is 17 years old and I don't want to be worrying about dings in a truck that old. Not to mention if I ever find my unicorn HD hood then I have to get it matched. So all the downtime etc. I can wrap this in portions on my downtime and don't need to rush it, plus I'd be looking at about $450 in cost. The door jambs and such will be a challenge but I will get it done somehow
Plus this doesn't look to bad, I opened for the gloss version of slate grey. https://www.performancetrucks.net/f...-my-2006-gmc-sierra-frozen-matte-grey-515848/
Another classic captain obvious post from rocket man, lol...no one with a car refinishing background or custom background does a recolor without some pdr or bodyworkDont want to be a downer but your dings are going to show right through a wrap. Every imperfection will be visible.
Well it was you that said you don't want to be worrying about dings in a truck that old in the same breath you said you were doing a wrap. So yeah. It needed to be said. And where did you mention you had a car refinishing background or custom background? I must have missed that captain obvious post. I did see the part about this topic getting off track though, so I guess this must be your build thread?
