What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Welp I was able to contain my excitement and not say anything until I had them completely installed... my torsion bar relocation brackets came in today. FINALLY got rid of those ungodly eyesores hangin out below my frame.
Not a great picture but here's a sneak peek.

Now it's time to clean and repaint the frame.

I can literally change my oil by sliding a 5gallon bucket underneath it lol

Thanks. It's my daily kid hauler and doesn't stay in the garage right now, so it's rare that it's even clean, let alone detailed. Once we clear out the garage space, I'm going to detail her inside and out, and she'll look really good ;-)

Exactly the same situation that my rig is in. I washed it for the first time since we purchased it just yesterday, even hit it with a quick "clay bar" mitt and spray wax. Its covered in pollen already and will get dusted at the softball fields all weekend.

Mine will never fit in my garage. Too much kids stuff in there. hah... ok my tools take up some space too.

What did you go with to relocate the tbars? I remember you mentioned this awhile ago.

I always loved that about my lifted vehicles. I can change my Jeeps oil like that. I have a fumoto oil drain valve that lets me drain the oil without any tools too.

Rough Country must have had their ears burnin because it seemed that not long after I posted that they sent me an email saying I would finally be able to purchase their NTD brackets and sleeves. So I jumped right on it lol

Looks like a nice kit. How was the install and price for just the brackets and sleeves? Got any picks that show that off? I always thought it was odd that many kits did not address that. Cost savings I guess.

Went for an alignment. Kid came in after doing it all proud of himself. Says, I noticed you were riding on your front bump stops. I adjusted your torsion bars so you've now got a quarter inch between the arm. I said, those are an integral part of the suspension to which he says they're only for preventing bottom out damage. I couldn't convince him that he just messed up my suspension and ride height. Decided to see bad it rides and it is terrible. Even my 16 year old daughter that just got her license Wednesday said it rides like a boat and she only drove it for 15 minutes.

Now I get to go figure out the process for those bolts on the torsion bars and try and get it back to the way it was. I was really happy with how it felt with 5100s and brand new jounce bumpers. Hope I can get it back to the way it was.

After that, it will need another alignment. At least I got the lifetime one many years ago.

Anyone know the stock front height measurement on a 2004 2wd zw7 (non autoride). I guess the best way to do it is get the z height corrected.

At least he told you what he did so you weren't wondering WTF. That would have been weird, driving it after an alignment and feeling like something was wrong. I wonder how many others he's done like that and people are driving around with a shit ride.

In retrospect, I should have. Was in a time crunch.

At Firestone again. Asked to have it put back and they can't even tell me what z height or trim height is. Not feeling very confident. We shall see. Stupid me for ever going here in the first place, but 10 years ago when I had to get new tires for it, I went here and also got the lifetime alignment. So only costs me time to see if they can get it right. I'm running out of time.... And patience.

But the ride hide isn't the root of my steering woes. I've been fighting this for a long time. Only part that isn't new on the front end in the last two years is the idler arm bracket and steering gear box. About to give up. A reputable frame and alignment shop in Dallas told me it was all ball joint related. I put all four new on by myself last month and it didn't change a thing. Just been using Firestone to align it after each new part goes on. Ugh.
