Yep nice call. I like our OEM mirrors better IMO over the tow mirrors.
Depends on the truck. I think they looked good on @Cattivo 's Rig

I'm going to be doing mine in a few days. How did you break the axle nut loose- on the ground before you tore everything apart? I saw A1 Auto torque them down afterwards by installing a wheel and lowering it down but they used an impact to break them loose.Did the driver side hub and shield... It was screaming like a banshee. Pretty straight forward. Will do passenger side when new brake stuff gets here.

Hell yeah nice stance, nice wheels.Did this over the weekend, but got the final step done today...
Installed my drop kit (2/4 at the moment) and Spohn rear suspension over the weekend. Kit is originally a 3/5 kit, but I didn't install the keys up front, and added a 1" spacer out back...
I wasn't sure how low the 5" drop would look so I played it safe and added the spacer. Now I'm tempted to remove it when I go back in to cut the bump stop bracket off (which I should've done when everything was off). Also thinking of adding the keys to bring the front down another inch.
My only concern is that this truck is my daily driver and I don't know how well it'll be as far as handling and rubbing.
I'll drive it like this for a month or so then decide what to do.
Got the alignment done today.
Those are 26" wheels on 30 series tires.

Those wheels look killer in that silver finish. I've only seen them in chrome or black. Very niceDid this over the weekend, but got the final step done today...

Can't remember, but did you disassemble your mirrors when painting?Painting the whole mirror assembly vs just the cap turns out so much cleaner.
I did the same and have been very happy with it since I had it done.
Nice work.![]()

Great tips, thanks. I'm hoping since I don't have any rust I wont bother the neighbors lol.An impact would've been nice (I think an electric one from HF is in my future). First, I had taken the wheel off and hit everything I needed to touch with PB the day before. When it came to the axle nut, I had seen arguments over the size, 36 or 35, mine is 35. I put a torch on it for a minute and used a piece of 1/2" rigid to hold it and about a 2' piece of 1" on my handle for leverage like this :

I just flipped it the opposite way to reinstall, and torqued to 135.
I didn't bother with the T55 caliper bolts. I compressed it with a C clamp, pulled the 2 18mm bracket bolts, and lifted the whole caliper assembly off in one piece.
Used the 2 wrench trick to crack the 3 15mm bolts for the hub, they came fairly easily. The hardest part was breaking the hub loose from the spindle. I shot the seam with PB, beat the hell out of it with a 3 lb sledge, and ended up using a cold chisel to help "walk" it out. I'm sure my neighbors loved it, I probably hit that thing 100 times.

this looks great, still have to get mine off to paint them the same way.View attachment 79629
They're looking better than my bumper
I took the mirror off. And yes painted it as a unit. I would definitely recommend sanding till you can't see the dimples in the plastic anymore. I have a whole write up, I'm going to fix it really quick and I'll give you the linkthis looks great, still have to get mine off to paint them the same way.
Did you take everything apart and paint, or did you paint is as a unit?
also, did you sand down the plastic smooth before paint?
I had to create a new write up. Here it isthis looks great, still have to get mine off to paint them the same way.
