All depends on how far cranked they are. Their claimed 3" from a key isn't always 3". I have keys in mine and my UCA'S are flat and 1/2" away from droop stop plates. All the keys are doing is adding more preload to gain small height. If they are maxed out and resting on droop stops then yea I say drop the money on the cognito parts. They are designed to correct that.

Got my new "Kensun" branded 5000k D1R bulbs (oem HID's) from amazon in the Esky. Fixed my flickering problem!

My original bulbs are toast.

Color looks good, but output sucks... I didn't expect them to be great, but I was hoping that output would be much better then the worn out stock ones. Oh well.

Sending them back and getting some Osram CBI bulbs. Supposed to be the best D1 option.

Old OEM bulbs vs new kensuns, and bonus legos in the back ground.

I am hoping that the new bulbs are good enough that I am not tempted to go with 55w ballasts.

Interesting how different the bases are... ill bet they don't seat properly in the housing.

Not today but yesterday I put in box, made by yours truly, to give my Kicker L7 12 better breathing room (from 1cu. fu. to recommended 2cu. ft.).....night and day difference. Seems double the loudness while using the same amp.
Thanks @massivespl for the help on the audio stuff:Handshake:

Still need to upgrade the amp.

This is why I never get to the suspension, always sidetracked :nolol:

Also got clear anzo corners.
Reverse camera and more.
I have pics but tapacrap keeps crashing and I'm tired of copying and pasting from photobucket.

I never stopped modding if you guys were all wondering :p , just stopped posting pics for a bit.

I am reading that the osram cbis are the best bulb option for d1r. I was considering ddm ultras or philips also. Really underwhelmed with kensun but the return policy is good atleast.

My 9011 hir in my jeep are much better then the esky headlights currently. Lenses are clear too.

Hm and these are a 100% fit? the Osram website just lists regular bulbs, it's listed on Amazon but doesn't say it fits like all the other D1R bulbs they list, just ordered fogs and DRL bulbs to match the factory HID's lol but if and when I get these there gonna be off a lil color wise

Well went and looked and driver side is hitting the droop stop and I think passenger side too but may have the slightest gap like 1mm but it's most likely hitting the droop stop too, so I'll wait till this summer and drop the money on some cognito uca's

d1r is oem escalade bulbs so yes they will fit. I don't totally trust amazon's fitment tool.

The osram CBI seems to be a ~5-6k bulb so it should match most "cool white" leds which I have installed in most places on my esky.

I ordered mine from ebay
http://www.ebay.com/itm/291990892367?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

ill definitely check the osram website to make sure they are legit when they arrive.

As the bulbs age significantly they will shift higher in the color range. So my OEM 150k miles bulbs are around 5-6k which is what the kensun bulbs claim to be and they are all pretty close to the leds in that range.

So I found a nice easy way to clean up my leather seats today. No idea if this has been said but I bought some magic erasers and spent like 5 minutes on the passenger front seat. And these are bad pics but you get the idea.

Wow, pretty much how my seats looked when I got mine. I used a tooth brush and plastic cleaner. Followed with leather treatment and mine looked and felt brand new. In a way all the dirt and grime acted as a protective layer over the leather from wear and tear lol

careful with those.

They are like a mild sandpaper.
