I have the tech 2 and have never used it, it's still in the box it shipped. Bought it last year, lol

It’s needed for vehicles with CANbus systems. Not sure what year that started but if you need it the Tech2 will let you know. If you don’t need it it will act as a pass-thru so no harm to leave it hooked up. I like it because the extra length allows me to operate the Tech2 from the very back of the truck if needed.

I've got one sitting here on my desk to do the passenger side. I'll try without taking the dash off first. If I can't get it, have my daughter try. She owes me anyway, since I put SLP loudmouth exhaust on her Camaro!

Greased that sumbitch!
Noticed some clanky clanks coming from under the front driving it around after sitting for so long while I swap heads 2x. Decided first step was to grease it up. Boot where DS tie rod ends meet was practically empty. No more clanky clank!

This might be stupid but.....does anyone know of a cap or something that goes on the water pump center thread when not running a clutch fan.
Swap to an 05 water pump.

I thought they had a cap on them when they're new in the box. Why do you ask?

I have one in stock and checked it out, but still has the thread. i don't think GM would make 2 of the same water pumps and make one with/without threads for a fan clutch.

just wanna cover the threads, it does come with a cap but that is just for shipping purposes so the thread don't get damaged. just slides on top of the threads, and held down when the lid of box is closed.

I was watching a video on youtube from swap guy, he was showing the difference between then L86 And the newer 6.2 that can run on 2 cylinders, and I noticed on the water pump of the 2020 has threads on it where a mechanical fan could screw on to

The thread size is 30mm x 1.5. I haven’t tried this one yet but it should work. You'll have to check with them to see if the plastic one is threaded.

I swapped the wheels on the 04 & 05 the other day and the 05 oem wheels needed 1 tpms sensor and a couple tires so I went and bought a couple used tires and had them do the 1 wheel that needed a sensor, relearned the tpms and drove down the road, and sumbitch tpms goes off again, so I relearned again drove down the road some more and dammit tpms lights up again, so I did the relearn again, got home and the tpms goes off again, so I pull out the tech2 and and fiddling around finally found the tpms info and the 3 old sensors were only reading 21 psi 
the new one was reading 44 psi which is what the tires are inflated to. I tried changing the tire size/psi to something in the middle like 30 psi and deflated the 1 new sensor to 38 psi but it just wouldn't work so I ended up have to buy 3 more tpms sensors

When one goes it’s usually the battery so the other are right there too. X2! Perfect!
The Beast absolutely destroyed the front diff, guess it didn’t like a WOT launch from a stop in reverse. Snapped a CV joint on the driver side and most surprising was it snapped the passenger side axle tube, cracked that mofo all the way around. Ordered a rebuilt diff and both CV axles.
