Vinyl wrapped the trim and removed the steps. Heat gun is your friend when wrapping. Really like the stepless look - may keep it like this a while until the ole lady gives me the business...

Thanks Alex,

Time always runs short. I did get to squeeze in one more weekend but now time to start putting up the toys until my next trip back out to continue with the mods.

Sorry another long day. No sir don't mind the question. Grill was right around 700.00. I bought the grille, upper piece that attaches to the hood, the lower grill piece, the two pieces under the parking lenses and the rear hatch badge.

I am on a first name basis with the guys in the parts department now. LOL...
Wow! That’s a really good price for all those pieces. The grill alone is like $500 up my way.

So washed the Escalade and the Crew Cab on Wednesday. Rained Wednesday night so got them cleaned up again today.

Hey staggered, are those 26’s and did you drop the truck? I just bought the 2-4 beltech drop set from NorCal and I love the way 26’s look but living up here on jersey 24’s is where i am comfortable at. Is there any rubbing or rough ride compared to the factory 22?

I think these vehicles look so much better without the running boards. Although The power steps that tuck themselves under the vehicle are honorary.

Agree, also retractable running board looks great.

Yes sir. They are a bit pricey. I sort of lost track. I knew the schedule was tight. Primary focus was on getting the parts so that can be prepared and color matched.

Yes sir. 26" Staggered offset Intros. Yes, I purchased the same kit from Tony as well. I purchased the exhaust, and lowering kit from him. The ride on 26s is surprisingly good with this drop kit. I would go lower but the ride is so good that I hate to loose it.

The ride on 26s surprisingly is slightly noticeable compared to the 22s. I have 5/7 drops on both my trucks and both sitting on 24s. That (5/7) set up is a noticeable ride indeed.

How low did you go in the rear? I think Im gonna pull the trigger on some 26’s just because I never had the 26’s before, I always ran on 24’s and on this gen esky the 26’s sit perfect!

Not sure why I couldn't think of retractable running boards when I said that, I guess 'power steppy things that tuck themselves under the vehicle' sounded better in my head.

Yeah, I thought about 24s vs 26s for a bit and finally decided on the 26s. Glad I did. They look and fit great. I would love to delete the auto leveling but when it gets loaded up it's nice to have that auto level ride.

What kind of wheels are you going to go with? I did the full polish intro option them powder coated. I posted a thread about that in the wrong year section unfortunately. It was one of my first threads.

Yes sir, did the travel mod as well. Did that when I did the rear springs, lowering kit, and the brakes. I did the Pnahard Bar and Spohn lower control arms this last trip out in addition to headers, tune, color matching etc.. It was a quick productive month.

Damn! You bet it was a productive month! [emoji23][emoji23] good shit bro! That’s how it’s done! Now you have inspired me to do it the right way.. I just blacked out the ride, now it’s time to lower her down then travel mod and a good detail with ceramic coating then the wheels.. thank you for all the info and for the motivation!

You're welcome Alex. Sounds like you are making some progress as well. Keep up the great work and good luck with the mods. I am on work assignment in Louisiana, so I gather the mods and do what I can to time the mods when I am home for usually a few days. This time around was so not the norm but it allowed me to catch up on some of the things with the cars and things around the house.

Post some pics of your effort when you get some time. Thanks.

Agree, with the auto-leveling is nice to hear that compressor going on and going from -2 degrees to zero.

Agree. Just need some time to look at the upper control arm set up and see what could be done insofar as being able to attach the auto-leveling feature while while not affecting the functionality aspect. Machining it is not an option. Maybe I can make a bracket or something down the road when I have time to come up with and implement something.

Based on my workload and assignment.... that will take a while.

I’m not sure on the wheels yet, my truck is all blacked out so I don’t want black wheels also. Trying to find something machined or silver just can’t find anything I like. Btw here the first few pic of the truck painted all the trim. Now it’s time for the drop and detail

Why those wheels? Is this the wheels you mention before I'm confused.
