I’m guessing there’s a feedback loop, so you can’t just unplug and toss em.

I wanted to find that shutter partly to ensure it was working. No shutter, even better.
ya the software for the shutters is fully redundent, you can't unplug them or modify them by removing the shutter leavers to make it "think" they are present it checks the temperature. the only fix it to have them turned off with a tune

Yesterday I got my new Lloyds cargo mat in for a Yukon XL and sure enough it covers exactly the portion you need when you remove the rear seat. I'm very pleased.

I was actually in the middle of loading up for our first towing adventure in this rig when the cargo mat showed up. I drove it 35 minutes there and back to go drift today and it handled it great. It gets off the line well but it REALLY doesn't want to drop enough gears to really get you moving once you're already on the highway (hopefully that's just a symptom of needing to replace the temperature sensor harness in the trans). Air ride really makes my trailer ride very smoothly overall and my only actual complaint while towing is that it isn't as long as my crew cab 2500HD.

Water pump started squeaking then leaking on the way home from work yesterday. Just BEFORE my road trip to the beach. Lord works in mysterious ways, but that's def a blessing to not break down 2 hours away.

gotta try and find a gps antenna splitter tomorrow in the junkyard, added nav but the gps antenna I added is crap after about 1/4 mile it has me out in left field somewhere instead of on the road, starts off correct then slowly goes way off base instead of me being where I should be.
there is a splitter that can be added to the factory gps fin antenna cable to add built in nav instead of onstar nav.
all these vehicles may have it. Need the splitter and the cables so I will probaly have to cut the harness open to get the cables out that I need

That’s a lot of vehicles to choose from, should be able to find one, it’s so much fun going to the salvage yards.
there are a few canidates out there, but these guys around here **** these things in nothing flat, hoping that since it is essentially part of the dash harness I can at least piece together what I need.

well poop, right part number but the cable fitting is not right, was not another one out there to be found either......
going to try a different antenna and see what happens. only spent $8.00 so no big loss.
if nothing else I can buy a oem antenna and stick it under the dash I have the extension cable now

I ordered a different gps antenna if that doesn't work after thinking about it I can make this splitter work just need to break out the dremel and shave some plastic off of one of the splitter connectors and then make a couple slots in one cable end to fit on the onstar module. that way I am not modifying anything already on the vehicle.
fittings are actually all the same (besides male/female) it's just the plastic part that they design differently so you cannot plug the cable in the wrong place.

Drove all over the state today and picked up a set of snowflakes while I was out. I'm thinking a set of 285/60r20 Toyo or BFG A/Ts will end up on them pretty early next week if not sooner. Will I need to hammer the firewall pinch weld flat to fit this size tire with the front leveled or will it get by without? I run 35x12.5s on my 03 2500HD at "stock" height so I'm not afraid of making room just not sure how much room it will require.

I installed a set of Morimoto headlights and discovered quite a lot of broken clips and similar along the way. I'm a big fan so far and I've got the tail lights on the way. Light pattern at night is great and overall a FAR better night experience over stock projectors.

Fox front coilovers should be here soon so I can level the front in time for new wheels and tires. I think the fog lights, other than needing polished, might need to be smoked to match the headlights better.

Morimoto tail lights and my Fox front coilovers arrived today. Since it was 100 degrees outside for the first time this year I wimped out and only did tail lights after 9pm. These things are amazing looking. Driver side fitment is spot on, passenger less so but still looks great. These really upgrade the look of truck if anyone is on the fence. Now I need to sell the Recon-looking pair that I just removed.
