Dropped my Hoe off Sunday afternoon to get and alignment and get the front looked at to see if there was anything wore out that I couldn't find and guess what......all 4 ball joints are shot. I looked everything over myself and they all seemed tight, but apparently I was wrong. So tomorrow I have to go pick the Hoe up and take it home to get the uppers ground off and everything put back together.

My question is has anyone had any luck with the Master Pro Ball Joints from Oreillys? They have a lifetime warrenty and carry the same part number as the MOOGs do, so I was curious if they are like MOOG seconds or just carry the same part number.

But anyway my guy that does alignments isn't going to charge me for looking it over before the alignment, but I'm going to stop and drop off a case of beer for being a good guy. Plus hes doing the alignment for $50 cause I always pay with cash

But $40 for the pair of lowers and $45 for the pair of uppers doesn't sound too terrible, I'm just glad that I have the knowledge and tools to do the work myself

But hopefully this will fix my death wobble after the alignment

cant go wrong with a lifetime warranty. I would buy the Moog thougth just from personal experience I had changed two sets out on my car before I put on moog and that was over 30k ago

I would do the Moogs, but its going to be more than 2x the cost. Its easy for me to do it myself and if I go through a couple sets I'll make them give me the moogs

I would like to get them, but money here is tight.

every experience i have had with parts from o-reillys turned out bad...maybe i'm just that unlucky....i have since turned to moog and haven't had any issues.

Hmmmm, I usually get my parts from autozone since my brother works there, but oreillys beat autozone by about $70 this time. I have gotten parts from them before without any more troubles than usual LOL

i have since moved on to NAPA for all parts purchases when i don't wanna get ***** at the dealership.

Yay! Nappa is the way to go. I think they are as close to the original part as you can get without the cost.

I got all 4 ball joints installed this afternoon and fixed the death wobble And the Hoe is back at the alignment shop, hopefully tomorrow I'll get a call so I can actually go and pick it up.

But as far as the ball joints from oreillys, I was actually impressed with them. They looked really good and the install went pretty smooth after I got the old junk out which was a *****! Took me about 4 hours to get the drivers side ball joint out. Then on the passengers side I couldn't get the rivits out of the upper control arm, but finally thought of using the ball joint press and knocked them right out.

But the old girl drives 100% better than it did before, the front end is way tighter, but the old ball joints were SHOT LOL they were really bad

BTW I would go to NAPA and get parts, but the guy the runs the local one here is a giant dick. Every once in a while I go in there and am always reminded why I stay away from NAPA. But the parts they sell are probably the better of the aftermarket companies IMO

I'm on a first name basis with the guys at the local O'Reilly's (was Schucks before they got bought out) after all the money I've given them in the last month and I've noticed that when they don't have the part I need, and I go to another store (Totem Lake or Redmond), the dudes at the other stores really suck. I guess I'm lucky to have awesome guys close to me.

The 12 year old kid with the mowhawk behind the counter at Napa wouldn't even let me give him my money, part in hand, he just kept helping the other line, back when my alternator cable burned out, when I was wearing nice clothes on the way to the mom-in-law's. Maybe he figured since I was dressed nicely, I couldn't possibly be working on a truck? I was less than impressed, to say the least...

AUTO PARTS PLUS!! owner of the shop lives next door to my parents! great service and he has all the tools that my dad doesnt have..and a key to get after hour parts when needed!

I've had that hook up before, its great knowing people with the power to open stores when they are closed LOL
