My next idea is taking out the radio on my break and letting it dry for a day or so. Then getting as much, if any water out the radio compartment.

That’s my plan to take the radio out, rode my bike to work today lol. Got the windows down. No rain today on the forecast. Supposed to be sunny. That should help. Than on my break I will run an extension cord and fan to it through my window. If you remove the radio, set in front of a fan. You can also get battery powered fans to point in the radio hole in the dash and anywhere else you can think of.
usually rain water doesn't do much if any damage just gotta let it dry out, it's not the same as spilling a soda in it.Probably just gonna leave it for a few days, I thought everything was fine. Guess not.
I don’t think anything is damaged just having weird glitches here and thereusually rain water doesn't do much if any damage just gotta let it dry out, it's not the same as spilling a soda in it.
if you have to drive it leave the defroster on if you can, one of it's functions is it also works as a dehumidifier
True. Just worried about my radio! Got it drying for a few hours underneath the air conditioner in my house. Gonna try to throw it back on. My cars been drying on and off the last 2 days. I’ve been keeping the windows up at night of course with some damp rid in the car.I can neither confirm nor deny that back in the day we had terrible grounds on main seawater pump motor, ended up brewing up some some super-deionized reactor grade fresh water and flushing out all the windings. A hella’ lot more than 6 gallons. Dried it out meticulously. I’m not suggesting that this was on a submarine, or even that it actually happened. However, whether or not we did this …. It worked great. That motor lasted the rest of the patrol, no problems, good to go. Hypothetically speaking, of course.
So I agree, rain water not the worst thing you could pour on a Yukon.
Usually is around 50-70% humidity hereThis is not a 2 day process. IMO, at least 5 days. Also depends on humidity in the air where you are. Dry here in the PNW. I know where my girl is in Texas, it is very humid.
Now, with all that being said, I’m wondering, is it safe to leave the radio fuse and if it’s just the accent lighting. Or will it run my battery deadHaha. Anyways update as of this morning I let the radio dry for over 12 hours in front of a fan with some damp rid containers around it and still having issues. Literally everything works in my car except the radio so I think I’m gonna rule out that I need a new aftermarket radio because the accent lighting on the radio just will not budge. It will not shut off. It’s still on after I shut the car off. Sometimes it’s very faint. Sometimes it’ll flicker and sometimes it’s just full brightness. View attachment 403538
Only one way to find out! Now, with all that being said, I’m wondering, is it safe to leave the radio fuse and if it’s just the accent lighting. Or will it run my battery dead
