Weird electrical problem

2008 Yukon Denali. Starts fine. After running a few minutes, stops charging the battery. If you turn off engine and restart it, goes back to charging but after a few minutes, stops charging the battery. It used to do it once in a while (like months apart) but now it's every time the car starts. Anyone had this experience? I'm assuming it's the alternator or voltage regulator (unless they're combined in one, haven't checked that yet). Any ideas are welcome.

Could be the RVC system, regulated voltage control.

Try unplugging the RVC sensor on your battery negative cable, mounted on the edge of battery tray, on engine side.

need a better definition of "stops charging"
if the voltage gauge is dropping down to say 11-12v versus 14+ when you start it then that is not necessarily a problem. Depends on the age and condition of the battery
if it drops to pretty much nothing and the dummy light comes on then that is a problem for sure.
you need to understand how the RVC system works and how the condition of the battery affects that.

With my batteries getting weaker, I'm pretty sure my running voltages are higher than before.
Lately been running at 14.6V - 14.9V for extended periods...(Dual AGM batteries)
