Weird cranking issue - '07 Suburban LTZ

For the past few days, when I first try to start my 07 Suburban, it keeps turning over for 5 or so seconds even when I have released the key. It wont start until I turn it off and retry it. Any one have a clue as to what is going on??

Weird I have no clue maybe have you tried it with your second key? i kno our keys have chips in them..

That's not it, as my key has no chip. Maybe someone else can chime in on a similar experience....

When my Yukon was doing this it would not be the first crank of the day, but rather the next cycle after operating temperature had been reached. Leaky injectors had to be replaced. Check out the below thread and you can hear what it sounded like...

Is that what you are hearing?

when mine did it they ended up changing the crank positioning sensor.

FYI, The problem was a faulty fuel pump module. Factory warranty covered it, dealership installed a new one, so I'm good to go!
