The ppv's dont come with a tow package, your looking for the other service model. i think its ssp. 4x4 tow package and normal ride height. i would try looking on autotrader.com thats where i found my ppv.

Check chicagomotors.com. I just bought my PPV there. You can also check asiamotorsinc.com which is also in Chicago but they tend to have a little higher prices. I doubt you will find a red one but white and black come up pretty regularly. The grey comes up every now and then as well. PPVs are harder to find but if you want to tow you need to get the SSV any way. It is not recommended to tow with the PPV.

Out of curiosity, why is it not recommended to tow with a PPV? What's different about it compared to a "non-PPV" Hoe?

It doesn't have a hitch

Then one can be added. I was under the impression by the statement I quoted that towing with a PPV was not possible for other reasons

I didn't say impossible but I believe there is a bunch of stuff that needs added such as trailer lights also assume that there is not a tow/haul mode so it might not be advisable. Better answer?

quest30349,

I encourage you to check out the GM Certified Pre-Owned site at: http://www.gmcertified.com/
You can search for available vehicles in your area. They have a large selection of vehicles, including Tahoe vehicles. All of their vehicle go through a 172-point inspection and are backed by a Bumper-to-Bumper and Powertrain Warranty.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

.....unless it means actually replacing parts. If a part needs to be replaced..... they will tighten, loosen, adjust and clean parts until the 12 month Bumper to Bumper Warranty expires. That's been my experience.

"GM Certified" means absolutely nothing to me now. It's just another sales gimmick in my opinion.

I think the reason you not supposed to tow because the transmission is geared really low for 1st gear. Quick question though for people without ppv's can you burn rubber on dry pavement? no brakestand either just straight gas.

a fire fighter buddy of mine says under government contracts they can get a brand new tahoe base 2wd ppv rubber floors for around 25K!!! i know civilians can't get that price so how do i determine how much i should pay for one that is 3 or 4 years old with 80K plus miles?

---------- Post added at 10:03 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:53 PM ----------

i checked the GM site and saw no red tahoe ssv base 2007-2010. if you can help that would be great. thanks
