I was having issues with the voltage maintaining and found I had a bad battery. I got that replaced and since the replacement I have had the voltage flickering when accelerating and then goes back to normal after i let off. When I am idling the voltage maintains on the dash and on my tester but my dash and dome lights will flicker and sometimes my headlamps too. I replaced both studs on the battery after finding one stripped out, replaced the alt, checked grounds, added 1 ground and am now starting to give up. What could it be before i go drop money at the mechanic

I'd get the alternator checked. there is another post on here right now about a bad alternator. maybe you have a similar issue. i think you can drive to autozone and they test is. not sure if you have to pull it off but even if you do, its one more thing to rule out.

if it checks out as ok, then check all the ground locations.
