FYI: I wish I did more homework before selling my 2003 Yukon yesterday. I looked at local Craigslist adds, 2003 Yukons were listed between $3500 and $6500, I did not find any with low miles like mine. 130,000 miles or in the condition mine was in, with all service done while still in good condition, nice paint, nice interior, nice carpets, near new tires, new AC compressor etc. I listed mine for $8000 and it sold in 1 day. I was thinking great, got a fair price. Found out later these are going on Bring a Trailer for $11 to $14K now because all of these bodies on the East Coast are rusted to junk by now. This California car is near new condition by comparison. If I had a Do Over I would list it on Bring a Trailer. BTW: the buyer is from upstate New York and is shipping my car to New York for another $2100 on top of the sale price and the buyer is happy to have found this truck. Dang hindsight is always 20/20. Am I the only one not watching the values go up on these older Yukon's?

Same deal with trucks. But I really wonder why the frames and components will rust so bad while the thin sheet metal body still looks great. See beautiful machines with perfect interiors that are just a mess underneath. Seems like 5 bucks worth of paint at the factory would go a long way in preserving that heavy steel and cast iron. And people do want those older reliable machines as you saw.

Saw one, I think it was a 2005, had 6,000 original miles and sold for #38,000 dollars. Not sure why someone would own one for 20 years and only drive 6,000 miles? Many parts age and fail but most of that truck would still be like brand new.
