Used Hydroboost yay Or Nay

Hey guys, I found a hydrooboost and master cylinder from an old surburban for really cheap, well under $100. I'm hesitant to purchase this because I wouldn't be doing the work and I don't know what to look for in a used unit. Should I just play it safe and just spend the bucks on a new kit or take a chance on used parts. Also can the hydroboost be rebuilt? Is there a rebuild kit for this? this would be for my 98 2 door tahoe.
