Long time lurker, second time poster. As mentioned in my intro, Been around cars all my life, due to the family growing, it's time to look at something with four doors. The 2012-14 PPV are very attractive given their 1) newness 2) price, and 3) relative simplicity. However, while the simplicity is welcomed, one thing I would like to upgrades is the head unit to the OEM DVD / GPS. It is my understanding from research here and other places that since the PPV is not a Bose system, you will need to get the Bose amplifier in addition to the OEM head unit. Also, several places make aftermarket wiring 'kits' (hard to really type kit as it's basically two wires and a connector) to tie in to the VSS and also add GPS antenna. While I'm sure many of you have some cheaper ideas than this route (And I'm open to reading about them, I just don't like the idea of splicing wires, whenever it's possible to avoid). More specifically, I'm curious if anyone has an OEM GPS / DVD head unit (functioning, of course ;) ) they might want to part with. Thanks in advance!
