Will this mod work for the 05 Yukon? Not sure if it'll have the same mounting location etc. has anyone done this or similar? Seems like it'd be an easy and cheap find at junkyard...

Are you saying you want a under hood light?

I make and sell this kit. Its 90% PNP.
All you need to do is drill the hole for the switch and run the wires theough existing conduit.
Once done. Its practically invisible.
Everything is soldered and double heatshrinked. Absolutely no ****** crimp connectors or electrical tape.

My silverado, all my kits but the tahoe below are like this.

Yep need a light. How much is your kit and where do I buy it? I'm not sure what I'm looking at in the "Tahoe with oem hood light" pic, it looks like it has two lights, but the tahoes I've seen only have one actual light and were pre-2003(?)

Doug has a kickass setup. So much better than the crap OEM light.

Good dude too, I'd buy from him.

I'm about to build one of these for my 03 Yukon. I'm looking through the pictures, and it looks like you routed the hood-mounted LED strip behind the insulation, but where did you install the pin switch?

Yea, power wire is behind the insulation and then down through the hood ground wire conduit.

There is no hood pin switch.

I could and would love tp tell ya more. But i am selling these and its my secrets on how i build them.
Its not terribly difficult, so of your smart and take your time. You will figure it out.

So good luck.

No worries, I understand you're trying to make some money. I think I figured it out, though... Hope mine looks as clean as yours.
