I did the trucool 40k install over the weekend (yay!). But now I'm wondering if I actually screwed this up. I opted to go with the kit from Glenn's Auto Performance and used their line kit with eliminates the cooler built into the radiator. I found out tonight now that the cooler section built into the radiator is a water to oil cooler and helps to heat the oil in cold climates (Wisconsin winters). So now I'm wondering if I should have kept the factory lines in place instead.

you can run them both, aka in series. this way the trans gets warmed up in the winter months, yet still helps cool it in the summer months.

I put a Derale temp bypass (180°) on mine which has worked fine for several years. There are mixed opinions on running these I understand; only issue I had was an annoying drip from the threaded connection (with Russel AN-6 fittings). If you don't want to plumb radiator (1st) to cooler as @Scottydoggs recommends, this might be a solution.
