Alright guys so my keys got stolen yesterday and now some douche has my home/truck keys. House locks already changed out but now i'm focused on the truck. Is there a way to get a new fob from the dealer that is programed differently so the thief cant lock/unlock my truck anymore? I have immobilized the truck so its not going anywhere unless i take it, but i don't want someone being able to get in it whenever they want.

I think I saw this thread before it got deleted or I saw it in the chat box or something. I believe to clear them all you just have to program a new fob, or go through the process. Turn keys to on (not the motor, just to on). Hold the reset button on the gauge cluster for 3 seconds until it says something about fob programming. Then hold the lock/unlock buttons on the fob until it programs. If I remember correctly that'll wipe the old ones and only leave the ones you just programmed.

Even if your fobs are reprogrammed that still leaves the actual key out there and can **** around in your truck even if they can't start it.

Very true. However, if they see a bunch of NNBS in a parking lot, they won't go putting the key into the door of every single (looks like) silver/pewter one. They'd go run through a parking lot in a car with the fob hitting the lock button

Ya I know, so I was thinking I would have the dealership put a new handle on the drivers door without a keyhole, this is possible right?

I've made habit of losing my keys... I've lost three sets.
I lost one in a single room where I was all night and I turned the room upside down looking for them.
Another while I was in an incorrect state of mind.
And the third to the lake.

Haha I know what you mean on the incorrect state of mind, those nights will get you. Do you know how much it will cost to get a new fob and reprogrammed?

I've been reading some other thread and cruising the net, but I'm still not sure. So I know I can get a new fob and it will cancel out the old one, but can I get a new ignition key as well?
