Transmission Fluid/filter Swap

As with every newly acquired vehicle,.. I will be dropping the trans pan and changing out the fluid and filter,.. I like to do the flush method of removing tranny line and run till air bubbles, then drop pan and filter,.. reassemble, then ad fluid and run till fluid runs clean out of line.
Question is I want to use Mobile 1 Synthetic,.. Im a fan of Mobil 1, but would love to hear all recommenations on fluid types and prices,... as we all know synthetic ATF's are getting very pricey,.. I can get Mobile 1 Synthetic ATF for $57 per Gal. which is about the cheapest Ive found.

I bought an expensive high performance trans from Performabuilt and they stated either DexronVI or synthetis is fine.

I thought it was synthetic blend but you made me look it up and you're correct- full synthetic. I just paid $29.33 on Anazon prime.

The Walmart brand in Full Synthetic, claims to be DEXRON VI equivalent @ $21 per Gal. I read somewhere where this stuff is made by the same company that makes AC Delco Dexron VI,..theres a couple youtube comparisons.

Dex vi is dex vi. They all have to meet the same requirements. That being said, I still like "my brand" as do many.

For a few bucks more, why risk it? I bought 12 quarts from Amazon. I think I ended up using just over 10 for a flush Or get a couple of gallons and a few quarts for topping it off. The flush is a piece of cake to do. The filter not so much unless you take down the exhaust. It can be done without taking down the exhaust but hard to get to. I made the mistake of having that part done and was a waste of fluid since it did not clear it up and ended up doing a flush myself. But it did need the new filter at 100k miles.

Its a lot more than "a few bucks"... Wal-Mart brand is on sale for $17 gal,.. Mobile 1 is $60 gal, times 3 gals is a huge savings. I have done the flush/filter on several gmt's,.. ...surprisingly easy on most.
